Someone really should introduce him to the truth of Calvinism 😏

I have a friend who’s Calvinist. He’s taught at my non-Calvinist church’s youth group. But I’ve sat in on a few of his talks and he doesn’t let out his Calvinism. He speaks like James White does here in this video clip. I don’t bother challenging it because it’s a point of tension in our friendship. Calvinists are great when they pretend that Calvinism isn’t true.

Me saying yes to Jesus and accepting him, doesn't give me a reason to boast. No idiot is going to brag or boast about how they grabbed onto a million dollars when it was handed to them and act like they did something to earn that million dollars that was gifted to them. I believe that I chose to accept Jesus after God drew me to Himself, you don't see me bragging or boasting. I don't have any problem believing that He did it all for me.

Tell me all you know about Calvinism you’ve learned from Leighton Flowers without telling me…

Have you read Owen? Or Bunyan? Or Bavinck? Charnock? Hodge? Pink? Watson? Packer? Ferguson? Beeke? Or even Calvin himself? So many Reformed Theologians have explained this over the past 500+ years and yet you clearly just get your understanding from guys like Flowers.

What you have in your head as a definition of Calvinism is simply not accurate, which is why you think this is an inconsistency.

How is he affirming provisionism? I’m confused, just because he used the word provision doesn’t mean he affirmed provisionism, a lot of the church fathers used the word predestination and election, does that suddenly make them calvinists?

This is stupid. Calvinism has always affirmed God's providence. One has but to read Westminster Confession chapter 5 (titled Of Providence) to see their centuries old affirmation.

The fact apparently you "provisionists", which so far seems to be a movement simply defined by being as uncalvinistic as possible, think anything James said here is contradictory to anything he believes as a Calvinist shows you're not actually listening.
