Start Lovin' then we're Chosen says Leighton, the Pelagian(ist)

We moved back to Leighton Flowers’ attempt to turn Clement of Rome into a modern, say, “Provisionist.” You will actually hear Flowers stating that Clement was teaching that God “chooses” those who love Him first, and saying this is more in line with the “Provisionist” perspective.

Dr White is the man. The Lord used him 10 years ago to open my eyes to Reformed Theology ! Praise God 🤓

The only way a person can "Love God" is by the power of the Holy Spirit to change your heart first! That's why God gets all the glory and that's why regeneration precedes faith!

So we first love Him!?! Therefore He loves us?
Oh, Leighton... that’s really bad stuff right there.

I heard this exact thing preached from the pulpit at a church I attended; “choose God and He will choose you.” I was not a believer at the time and I knew that was wrong, I left that church and never went back. Years later I was saved after years of rejecting God. God loved me and chose me while I was till His enemy, not the other way around.

Thank you Lord for giving us James White a true Defender of the Gospel of your Grace. The Gospel that saved us through the regenerating power of your Holy Spirit, and By your will and grace that make us alive in the Spirit that cause us to see the wonderful grace and Love you've done in the Cross of calvary. You die, burried and ressurected for our salvation, in your finish work in the Cross.

Soli Deo Gloria. ❤️

Leighton Flowers has such a Strawman about him...he is now getting into stuff from Mormonism? It's like he doesn't want to Admit that all of this so called trying to debunk Calvinism is getting him nowhere..I've truly been Blessed by James White and his Ministry. God has used him tremendously to get back to my faith back burning.. gotta love Biblical Christianity and Sound doctrine..🦋💙💙

What's so sad about this is that, Leighton Flowers has a lot of followers in his Soteriology101 channel. They
are all being led astray bit by bit. It's getting worse, before it's just faith. Now it's loving God first and He will love you back. That's definitely Pelagianism.

Yeah, Leighton is going down a dangerous road, when you focus on man first in soteriology and against Augustinianism, eventually you may soon enough believe in works based salvation and being a Pelagian. We need to pray for him.

It is clear Leighton Flowers is trying to grab whatever he desperately can to justify his view.

Appreciate your work Dr. White.

Flowers 💐 totally flips this... what is the point of election if it’s based on us, it’s not election. That’s the point. 😩

we love God because He loved us first. Some where in a letter of John

The one thing that Leighton won't admit to himself is that God "knows" who's going to end up in hell & he created the "anyway"

1 Jn. 4:19-- "We love him, because he first loved us. Lest love to God, and so to one another, should be thought to be of ourselves, and too much be ascribed unto it, the apostle observes, that God's love to us is prior to our love to him; his love is from everlasting, as well as to everlasting; for he loves his people as he does his Son, and he loved him before the foundation of the world" [John Gill, Commentary on 1 Jn. 4:19].

*Soli Deo Gloria*

Thankyou James for your honest comments. I also am concerned about Leighton and his constant criticism of biblical truths. His exegesis is of grave concern. Pelagius, a British monk who preached in Rome AD 401-9 denied the need of God's grace to keep God's commandments. His followers believed that so called free will emancipated man from God.
They were on the slippery slope toward Universalism. You cannot get anymore unbiblical than that. Rejecting God outright leaves a man floundering in unbelief.

Wow! I’m sure Mr. Flowers has read 1 John chapter 4 and Chapters 1-6 of Romans. How could you say God picks us by how much we love him after those 7 chapters I mentioned above?
