Consumer Reports has released their list of most unreliable cars based on 17 criteria, so we round up the top (bottom) 10 of those cars, and tell you why they're at the bottom of the list.

Please don’t use consumer reports reliability ratings. Someone not knowing how to pair their blutooth will bring down the reliability of the car.

I wish they would completely separate drivetrain from things like infotainment issues

And as bob hope just said, they focus on the first 90 days of ownership. So if an engine blows 6 months into ownership they don’t report it. They’ll consider it as reliable..

For the company I work for we’ve had problems with the old 2012-2013 focuses but the 2016s and newer just passed 60, 000 miles and no problems at all.

in Jaguar's defence, this is their first SUV. Jag are normally in the top five in terms of reliability.

Define "problem" Was it a failure requiring repair. CR will rate "It was not like my last car"or "I was too lazy to read the manual before using a system I never used before" as a problem. Was it something that actually resulted in a break down or repair? Sometimes a transmission is so smooth that the owner thinks it was not shifting and so calls THAT a problem (NO! the Focus PowerShift DCT is crap). I would like to see their data not just their results.

Good job consumer reports! wait, isn't this Autoguide? :) And THIS is why you buy JDM, far less issues with cars reliability which made them take over the USA by storm in the 80s and into the 90s!

My mom got a 17’ Ford Focus SEL 3 and a half weeks ago and it hasn’t done anything to us. It’s more of a nice car with 17” rims and a sunroof with dual zone climate and sync 3 navigation. It has 1800 miles and it’s covered by Ford from front to back of the car if something happens.

Camaro is not unreliable, I’ve known someone who, in almost 5 years has only change the oil and tires. Nothing else.

twenty years after selling my pos unreliable Ford the company still has not changed. Some things never change lol. Love driving my Lexus
