I make beats in both but I can't get good drum kit for logic so I make most beat in fl studio. But the sound I make in logic is outstanding and i record in logic.

I use logic for recording vocals & FL to make beats. I like to do drum patterns in FL, but Logic has better stock key & synth sound IMO. Making the drum patterns in FL & then adding keys in Logic might be cool. What do you think?

I use both of these; they're kinda from different schools of production.
If you know how to play live instruments, start with Logic. It needs a midi controller to really shine. It's for a stationary production room.
If you don't know how to play any instruments, start with FL Studio. You can use this with a laptop and no peripherals are necessary. It's for a mobile production toolkit.
If you were good at making music on MarioPaint you'll pick up FL studio right away.
If you know your way around keyboards like the Triton or the ASR-10, Logic will make sense to you.
If you know your way around the MPC, pick up Maschine. This is similar to FL studio but requires a controller to really shine also.

If you are familiar with GarageBand get Logic!!
No sense learning a new software for minimal benefits.

just as a note for the velocity: you can do the same in logic like in FL. Just use Automation in piano roll and select "Velocity"

trippler.

I use fl studios since 2006 then I switched to protools only because other producers were saying that if you use fls you’re not a real producer lol. But honestly fls my favorite and I’m back to making beats and recording vocals on it!

I really don't know what is the problem of using both, like I'm producing and making beats in logic and I do sound design in fl and sometimes (rarely) I use ableton to make fast beats just for fun.
So for real I don't really mind using the 3 of them but my main daw is logic 💿

I have both DAWs and honestly the only reason I use Logic is to record vocals... FL studio is better for producing... I just suck at using midi to record drums and ULTRABEAT SUCKS!!! FL Studio is super easy to learn, has a really nice design, easier to use in most aspects... ex. making melodies, drum pattern, better sound design and effects for the actual beat... ie. (grossbeat, Love Philter, FL Slicer, etc) now Logic, Logic is easier for Vocal recording, mixing, and mastering... Also I do like how Logic is easier to cut, fade, transpose, reverse, merge, bounce things in place, etc.. but, Fl Studio is still better imho... Maybe if Logic had a better drum sequencer and a better piano roll I would definitely use it more than FL... Also Fl studio's mixer is more simple and easier to understand... Sorry my input is all over the place but, just thought I'd share and go over some stuff that maybe wasn't all in the video.

Thanks for the comparison video. I have access to Ableton, FL Studios, Reason and Logic Pro X. Personally, I have been using Logic Pro but only recently in the last couple weeks, I have been considering using FL Studios. My only complaint about it is that FL Studios doesn't have the same midi presets for my Native Instruments S49 MKII and Logic Pro X has.

I think that fl studio 20 is a pretty good DAW

5:17, that's exactly how you can control velocity in Logic X if you click on the step editor tab of the piano roll. There's also a velocity tool...I almost always choose that as my command tool cause it get a lot fo use-- command clikc on a note and drag up or down to change velocity.

Most of the FL qualities that you mentioned in this video were matched by logic in the 10.5 update.

thanks. I'm looking for comparisons but they're are hard to find since Logic is strictly Mac and FL has been strictly PC up until now...so therefore it's really hard to find people who have in depth knowledge of both.
