I've seen more Dance Producers use Logic and Ableton and more Hip Hop Producers use FL Studio and Pro Tools

I feel like FL Studio is easier to learn but I think Logic is better though because it has really good stock sounds, when you buy Logic it comes all together, better mixing tools and it usually loads your party plugins automatically. I still think FL Studio is good but I would choose Logic.

I feel FL is easier to use and learn. I can definitely tell when a beat is mixed on FL though. I thought I was the only one!

Hey Guys! Thanks for the love on this one, head over to my other videos and you'll see a bunch of "LOGIC Vs. FL STUDIO" videos where I break down the differences between the two more in-depth on specific topics. All the love!

I'm a Fl Studio user but I'm in my transition to Ableton, my problem with FL Studio is all the mess, and some automations take a lot of time to make.

When you mention the cons for logic, like how bad are those cons, or do you just seek em up for a critical perspective. Kind of wanna go with logic but at the same time I do not want to lose the capability of making hip hop or just nice beats?

Hiii! I’ve got into music through some mobile apps but I really want to get into actual producing! I’ve got a few lil questions so if someone could answer them then I’d be really grateful:
1. You mentioned that logic is more intuitive in a more organised way but I’ve also seen people say fl is easier to learn for a complete beginner - what is easier to get the basics down for a complete beginner who has never used either?
2. I’ve got a MacBook so do both of them work on those?
3. I really love trap music and would love to do some trap influenced stuff - so would fl studio be better for that?
4. Speaking of trap, I’ve heard that gross beat is one of the most essential plugins although it is only available if you get the signature version or up, and I’m considering getting either the producer version or the signature one for my birthday which is in a month. Based on what Ive said before, which would be better for me, and is getting the signature version essential?
5. Which (fl studioor Logic Pro) is better/easier to remix pre existing songs on?
6. For me, a complete beginner, would the slightly worse sound quality be noticeable or a big thing - you mentioned trap and hip hop are still probably favourable on fl studio and those are the genres I’m most interested in right now so should I get fl or logic pro

I have been using logic pro and FL for over 13 years - The only advantage FL has over Logic is STEP SEQUENCER - its ease of use and the pitch/velocity fast drawing feature - Everything else LOGIC easily trumps over FL - Logic has been trying to kind of replicate that step sequencer thing, but its just not quite there yet, maybe in next update it will have perfected it - Oh also FL runs smoother on Windows - So if u r a windows user then that's also a plus -

Fl Studio is perfect for beat makers vs Logic is perfect for finalizing the project after u build the beat and want to record songs on it and mixing and mastering

Have to disagree with some of the cons in FL Studio. I never understood that whole "gimmicky" thing claimed about FL that's just down to taste. FL's interface & fl's philosophy as a whole, is about flexibility, being visual(hence why it was one of the first DAWs to be compatible with multi touch screen because it was designed for it) & being more modular (linking & automating damn near everything with everything else) it's not linear by design, hence why it's great for complex sound design, that's one of the main reasons EDM producers gravitate towards it.
As for the whole "sound" thing, that has been debunked over & over, FL comes with demo projects & they all sound like any other commercially released songs & they use 100% FL plugins for mix, mastering & sound design, so that really comes down to the person not learning how to use those plugins professionally, rather than the plugins themselves.

I am just starting to explore the things and my knowledge of both DAWs is at 5%.
Which one I should stick with?

Which one is better for beginners who produce with a midi keyboard for pop producing and vocals?

At @4:00 it's not that the plugins sound better, it's simply a tuning issue. I found the same thing with FL and Reason (Reason sounded somewhat brighter) but realised that for some reason (no pun intended), Reason is an octave or two lower compared to FL

i want to make indie-rock music, just wondering if logic would be better for it than fl

As someone who makes Progressive House, Electro, Big Room, Trance, PSYTrance, Melbourne Bounce, and Progressive Trance and someone who transitioned from Garageband I find Logic's plugins very friendly to those genres, and it has an amazing loop library to give me inspiration in my tracks (I don't actually use the loops in my tracks) but I love the giant sample library. It works seamlessly with Abelton Live (Not Pro Tools) which is the other DAW I commonly use, and I find the interface more beginner-friendly than FL Studio or maybe that's just me, plus it is a good value daw for 200 dollars with the same features as the full version of FL Studio.
P.S My Opinion is biased so don't take it seriously
