Both DAW's are brilliant. FL Studio is a good place to start making beats, Logic is better to mix vocals and beats, and create a full song

FL is like "check out all my features". Logic is like "shut up and make music".

As a singer garageband gave me the opportunity to make my own music even by knowing nothing about music production so I definitely gonna go to logic which is an upgraded similar environment and is so user friendly.
After all we need to make music and enjoy the process not overthink about every button we need to press.
Plus, since garageband has a massive variety virtual instruments with an excellent and natural sound I am looking forward to see it's upgraded version which is logic

I appreciate your emphasis on the tools being a means to an end, and the important thing being our creative output. I started learning beat making back in the Sony Acid Pro era (5.0). Then, I transitioned over to Reason for a time. But I had a realization that my output was better away from the computer entirely. Now, I use a Roland MC-707 for composition, arrangement, and gain staging, then do a 2-track out to my trusty field recorder (Tascam DR-05X). Whatever process gels with you as an individual is the right process. DAW of choice, dedicated hardware workstation, and so on.

When it comes to DAWs I have commitment issues as a result I currently own and can use all of the popular DAWs out there with the exception of Reaper and Digital Performer. I love jumping from DAW to DAW it helps my creativity.

It's worth noting that you can use FL Studio as a plugin in any other DAW. I use Cubase for recording and anything audio and mixing but i use fl studio for MIDI. I learnt on cubase wayback on version 3 and used that exclusively until i switched to Ableton for a while. Then i figured out that a lot of workflow issues and things i didn't like could be fixed by combining FL Studios excellent piano roll and beat making workflow with Cubase's Audio, Routing and mixer.

I use Reason Studio, Logic, FL Studio, and Ableton. I also have Bitwig, MPC Studio, and Cubase, but I rarely open them up these days.

I started on FL and im still on FL. Don't let those "i stArTED oN Fl buT tHEn i sWiTChed tO AbLeTOn, iTS sO muCh BeTTEr" fool you. 99% of those people commenting this are people that don't know 30% of FL's studio features.

Having used different DAWs in my time, FL Studio will remain as my main DAW, as someone who uses a lot of the "things" that make FL's workflow "unique" as my bread & butter methods i.e.(peak controller, mixer link automation, envelope controller, patcher, pianoroll "limit" tool especially it's basically the 'autotune' of chords lol, automation clip system, keyboard controller...) there's simply no replacing it. The secret for me has always been to try to make different genres of music every now and then, that forces you use your DAW differently then how you're used to doing it regularly, that's one of the ways I discovered some of these "weird" tools that are available in FL that many people don't seem to know about or use.

i think if you right click on your dmd in logic through the arranger and select pattern region youll get the same workflow for your drums as you would in fl. it saves me alot on drums in logic

Man when you described that wall in fl studio it was honestly the first time I thought someone understood my problem perfectly! I have an idea for a loop, spend hours fine tuning it only to then feel kinda "blegh", where to go from here. Greta video man

Great point about the "clicking in every note" workflow in FL Studio vs the "playing your keyboard" workflow in Logic - THIS is a major reason why I'm considering switching to Logic after 21 years in FL Studio. I feel like my workflow has been stagnant and more mental/theory based and I want to play more, utilize my MIDI keyboard more, etc. So interesting that you say Logic lends itself more toward the latter, which I'm hoping it helps bring more life to my tracks.

I use logic or serato studio.
I experienced the same improvement in my compositions and arrangements when I started using logic.

Currently, I use Logic Pro and I love it! What stops me from trying out different software is simply due to the fact that most of the other DAWs out there aren’t screenreader friendly. I’d like to try out some other DAWs out there some day, but I just haven’t found any that are as accessible as Logic is.

FL Studio is more user friendly and easy to use especially for beginners. It can be tricky though when you start adding plugins(manual where logic mostly comes preset). Logic has numerous cool synths you cannot find on any DAW. All and all Logic sounds more pro by default where on FLS you need to understand a bit of mixing to get to that quality

Man what you said is very correct because I also have both FL studio and logic Pro the way I use both is I incorporate both the DAW s.... I use logic Pro to create more melodies and when it comes to beat creation I'll open FL studio as a vst in logic Pro and program my beats using the both DAW sin rewaire that's a real fun and very cunning way of music production from my point of view....
anyway I liked your video your presentation is just symple and very easy to understand

Currently, I'm knowledgeable with two. Cubase and FL Studio. I'd really love to experience Logic, the quality sounds amazing on a standard level.
