Guys! It’s FREAKEN hot outside!

With temperatures rising, it’s important that we are paying extra attention to our hydration status.

The first (and easiest) indication is the color of your urine. The darker it is, the more dehydrated you are. But believe it or not, most of us are dehydrated before we even realize it. Just a 2-3% decrease in body fluids can impair aerobic capacity (I.e you’re gonna fatigue faster during any form of cardio). Dehydration also leads to increased breakdown of muscle glycogen and greater reliance on water derived from metabolic reactions. Muscle glycogen holds the majority of your energy reserves for exercise, therefore the faster you burn through them, the less energy you will have to continue and maintain high exercise intensities.

So what are some proactive steps you can take to prevent dehydration? All the info you need is in this video plus more!
