For the animals, for the environment, for the climate and against world hunger: Yes, everyone should go vegan, particularly since we stand even to gain health wise.

It is the position of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics that appropriately planned vegan diets are healthful, nutritionally adequate, and may provide health benefits for the prevention and treatment of certain diseases. These diets are appropriate for all stages of the life cycle, including pregnancy, lactation, infancy, childhood, adolescence, older adulthood, and for athletes. Plant-based diets are more environmentally sustainable than diets rich in animal products because they use fewer natural resources and are associated with much less environmental damage.

Shouldn't there be a caveat, low fat yoghurt and if you're a hyper absorber of cholesterol stay away from eggs?

Also, I've got a friend and I recommended some of your videos and he bought one of your books recently. He's an Aussie with indigenous heritage, his cholesterol is over 6 and he's recently been diagnose with type 2 diabetes. He's still taking a prescribed statin. He was prescribed Metformin for the diabetes and stopped taking it because of social media content that he's come across on the internet. I'm worried about him, anything that you think of I can say to him that might change his mind to take the medication. My advice to him to date was to the take the medication or embrace a dramatic whole plant food based dietary intervention to reduce visceral fat and exercise.

There will always be endless studies. Nobody will read them and most are funded by someone with an agenda. The good news is that everyone can do their own study. Just eat and see if it accomplishes what you want. I am a carnivore. For me it is astonishing how good I feel. For others it may be vegan. That’s fine. The good news is you can try any one of them whenever you want. You don’t need a study.

Toying with trying Mark Bittman’s “Vegan Before 6” - i.e. no animal products until dinner. 💜

I personally eat fatty fish, a couple of eggs here and there and low fat fermented dairy. I typically avoid cheeses since they are packed with saturated fat. Except maybe low fat cottage cheese. Typical cheese can have as much as 50-60 percent of saturated fat which is pretty close to butter.
