When utilized properly the Dynamic-Effort method can be a great way to develop explosive power! The exercises shown above are some of my favorite ways to implement the dynamic-effort method with my athletes!
Dynamic-Effort Method General Programming Guidelines:
SETS: 8-12 or until output drops (when output drops cut the set)
REPS: 2-4 - 10 Yards for Sled Push Sprints 10-20 Yards for Sled Sprints
SPEED: 0.7-0.9 Bar Speed
WEIGHT USED: 50-75% of 1 RM or 50-75% of BW for Sled Sprints
