My family LOVES when I make prime rib at holiday time. They don’t know how SIMPLE it is to make 😄 The actual work is from making all the million sides that go with it.

Remember that the Prime Rib will keep cooking 10 to 15 degrees while it is resting so take it out a little earlier so it doesn't get over done..

Try doing 5lbs for 25 mins at 500 5 mins per lb the shut the oven off and let it ride 2 hours. Also do a rosemary garlic butter spread in the fridge the night before then remove early morning to assure room temp meat!

looks like a medium. 140 is medium (125-135 is medium rare). still looks very nice though😊

So many recipes say the roast should be room temp when putting in the oven. Didn't see that here.

And butter tastes better than olive oil. Spread butter all over the outside with your seasoning

Should take it off at 118. Better flavor and more juiced. Final for a good prime rib should be about 130 after rest. This is what i do

How long should it rest before slicing?

No! Crank the oven to 500, place roast in oven, cook 5 minutes per pound. Shut off oven and leave for 2.5 hours without opening the oven!

Prepping looks good, but what if you don’t have all your cooking tools looks delicious, but I was looking for something a little simpler

Looked closer to medium if I'm being honest. I'm sure it was still very tasty.

Look great I think for Medium Rare will be better a 120 125 so when is rest still will cook.

Do you sear it at the beginning or at the end of the roasting time? I've heard people who prefer one over the other.

Need to pull at 125. It's going to add another 10-15 degrees at it rests
