How to Fix a Running Toilet - 3 Common Problems

Here I go over how to fix a running toilet. There are 3 common problems. I have found that most of the time I just need to adjust the chain because it has a kink in it or adjust the floater because it's not moving high enough to turn off the water.

If the flapper is damaged and not working you would need to replace that. It's very easy and flappers can be purchased at any hardware store, online and even in grocery stores.

Here is the list of 3 common reasons a toilet is running:

The Floater is not moving properly and needs to be adjusted
The Chain is broken or kinked
The Flapper is broken and not sealing correctly
