PC vs Mac: how do things stack up after 10 years?

The Mac vs Windows debate has been going on for years but how do things stack up in 2016? A decade after release I'm doing a comparison with a pair of laptops, the early 2006 MacBook 1,1 with Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard versus a Dell Latitude D620 running Windows XP to see how well they work today. Then I give them the upgrade treatment with an SSD and extra RAM along with a fresh copy of Windows 10 to see how things fare.

Yes, I remember those days when we only had two options. A Dell laptop and a white apple laptop. These two models controlled the market back then.

The issue with the Mac vs. PC debate is the fact that you cannot compare one PC model to all Macs. PCs are so varied by the manufacturer and personal upgrades that it is hard to compare them to Macs.

Snow Leopard was the best mac operating system. it's just been getting slower and clunker since then.

The Macbook has definitely aged better than the PC! They still have the white Macbook's at my school however the batteries are all pretty much dead.

The title doesn't quite make sense... " 10 years later " would be like checking how much it's improved over the course of ten years rather than going back.
