8:20 i think this point is lame since Mac is sold only by one Company whereas there are 10s of companies that make windows laptop. It also caters to separate audiences like gamers, working professionals to meet their usecases.

Being a Mac users I think some of the points mentioned here were just added to make 10 points. It only makes sense to compare it with a Dell XPS or similar kind of laptop rather than laptops that are half the price like Realme and Acer 7.

The one reason why the Mac is my favorite product in the Apple ecosystem is that it's one of the least restrictive products. Mac OS allows way more freedom compared to iOS and iPadOS and it makes a big difference.

Rare incident with my M2 air : there is a perfectly vertical stress crack on the bottom chin bezel, caused by me moving in and out of an AC room and a hot class room, apple said they won't cover it under warranty, even though the crack can't be felt (is smooth to the touch, totally internal).

1. If Mac goes bad, a minor component failure, it would cost half of the cost of the whole laptop. 2. Mac cant do simple tasks of merging a folder while copying/moving files. 3. OS upgrade issues (hardware failure) are also available on Mac. 4. You are comparing cheaper with superior featured Windows laptop with average featured Mac laptop. 5. Now, mostly gaming windows laptops has bulky chargers. 6. Upgradeability, repairablity is on toss with Mac

You don't compare MacBook vs Windows.
You either compare "MacBook vs Legion" OR "MacBook vs Predator" OR "MacBook vs Nitro" or "MacBook vs Surface" OR "MacBook vs Galaxy Book" OR something similar.
Likewise, you compare macOS vs Windows.
And also, when you compare macOS with Windows, make sure you take hardware of similar levels, don't compare 2.5 lacs MacBook Pro with any average budget Windows laptop.
Dude is comparing 45k laptop with the laptop of minimum 100k price (around 2:35) for its keyboard, drivers and all.
I'm not talking about the results, who wins - who loses is completely subjective, and I don't care who uses what, but at least have a basis of comparison on fair ground.

Does Mac have a taskbar so I can view multiple minimized tabs/docs? As someone who works on multiple Word documents at the same time, its so convenient to minimize docs but still see them and jump around between Word docs, adobe docs, web browser, etc.

You have so many option like designs, specification according to the buyers budget and many more. If mac book is the only option, not everyone would be able to afford it. This is also a reason why there is so many options so that everyone and find the one which makes them satisfied the most.

There are some things like battery, speakers, etc where comparing a Mac with a gaming laptop doesn't make sense. Also the Acer laptop costs less than 50k.
Talking about portability, you need to carry dongles with Mac while travelling but you don't need extra dongles in windows laptops, they have enough USB ports with dedicated ports for charging, ethernet and HDMI

Thanks for this video! Honestly I totally related w the saturated market option for windows laptops/ultrabooks – the fact that most shopping is now done online means even if you wanted to have a look-and-feel of a device before buying, it's nearly impossible – not all retail shops are gonna have the device/s you are looking for. Plus, i am simply annoyed and confused w Intel's chips and their naming system. Simply not worth the time and effort. Its why i would rather choose a Mac as i simply need a laptop for my daily use – one that is reliable and will suddenly not show me a blue screen sad-face error because of a Windows Update. UGH!

I love macOS and I hope the future Sonoma version will bring more games support! I would love to ditch windows entirely if I could… parallels is all I need for windows software. I just want games!
