The worst feeling of looking after parents when their own parenting was inadequate towards us, but we still turn up for them, specially for the father figure who’s was absolutely terrible to us.

You should feel guilty. Noone really has the patience-even some caregivers. Some of your loved ones are violent, and the caregivers have to tolerate being punched or kicked. They have to take it. They come into the field, wanting to help. After a while the caregivers get turned off. They fail to provide a lift, so your not lifting heavy men or women who are helpless and very heavy, in spite of how slim they are. They're is so many residents and very little employees. I'll never understand it, what's more; I don't want to understand it.

Guilt is for a reason. You are doing something wrong. Tell yourself what you must to cope
