The young Marines should get awarded for standing together and having each others back.

The girl who started this should be charged!

Our first sergeant use to say, “if I pickup one of you from the jail, I better be picking up all of you.” If there’s one, there’s more.

I'm a retired 0369 US Marine Corps Infantry Unit Leader (1964-85). One, Semper Fi for posting this outstanding video. Back in 1969, while in Nam we got into a hand to hand situation. Afterwards, our Skipper issued a 24/7 mandatory fixed bayonet order. I taught our platoon Karate, a Gunny taught Judo. 1970, while back in the "World", I had many of my Marines get jumped while in J'ville and elsewhere. I always get pissed off when I see crap like that. Like many of us back then, we realized that our 8 hours of hand to hand combat training in Boot Camp was not enough. In 1978, while at Quantico I informed a LtCol over at Marine Corps Development that we needed to step up our game on Close Combat training. He agreed. Later, he informed me that he would let the "head shed" know what we had discussed. In 1979, I went on Recruiting Duty for 39 months and later returned back to Quantico. I learned nothing had happened on a new Close Combat package. I saw the Colonel again. He had just rotated back to Quantico too. We talked briefly and he assured me he would check on my informal request for an improved Marine Corps Close Combat program. After I retired in 1985, I learned that our Corps had developed The Marine Corps Marshal Arts Program I was ecstatic. I watched this video carefully, and I saw the civilians throw the first punch. We Marines know it's time to Attack when that happens! That's what we train for. I hope those Marines didn't get in trouble for stepping up to a self-defense situation.

I'd much rather be "vile and mean", than "weak and woke". Any day!

Thanks Jack. These guys should have been thanking them for their service not starting a fight.

As a Marine I can tell you we aren't brainwashed but rather enlightened and convinced of our righteousness.

Old Corps here. Joined the Corps in June of 65. All of fellow Marines were crazy. We would fight anyone at the drop of a hat. Fellow Marines from other units who insulted our unit, Mike 3/6, at the time. Civilians, no problem, lets get it on guys. Did a Caribbean cruise for three months in the Spring of 66. Every port we pulled into for liberty was an excuse to get into a fight in every bar in town. Went to Vietnam as a Scout Dog Handler, we were a small unit and really had each other’s back. Boom! Insult one of us, you insult all of us. Game on. We all very young, full of testosterone, just looking to go at it. And you knew your buddies had your back.
I am 77 now and I can’t go a day without saying the F word at least 15 times a day. Another great habit picked up in the Corps.
Had a great life. Went to college after I got out in June of 69. Earned two degrees and spent most of may career in executives positions in the Chemical industry. Retired in 2013. Great wife. Very successful kids and grandchildren, but they still think dad and grandpa is a little nuts. I just tell them, try spending four years of your young life with maniacs and you will turn out just like me!
Old Corps signing out.

My husband is a Marine!! He never backed down from anything! He made me feel all the time. He passed away last Sept. He was in excellent shape for 71.

I'm retired from the army since 2015. I'm sitting with my former men at a bar in Austin. We are celebrating our years together, there's 12 of us (all that's left). True to your statement, a girl (no more than a teenager) starts drama with one of our old farts. A group of six off duty marines sitting near by saw that and tried to diffuse the situation. Hulking homeboy took one swing at a marine. And all hell breaks loose. Dumb asses who tried to take on six marines ended up badly mauled. The brawl ended up broken up by MPs. City cops stayed away. None of those boys were charged, and I've never been prouder of our military.

I stand with the Marines!!! I am a 70 yr old woman with strong military support. I was an Air Force Guard Flight Nurse and absolutely a strong Patriot!!!! I hope we Never have a war that we need people to sign up to protect our country as we have no young people who are strong but pansy's. Everything given to them. So Sad!

What a refreshing site to see those Marines stick together like glue, and turn the tables to deal with a bunch of wannabes.

MY brother is a marine and I've witnessed the comradery and brotherhood that flows in their blood. I'm a veteran and have seen some crazy stuff But marines are on another level. All respect.

Female former Marine here….1st, thank you so much for your service. 2nd, where the hell are their covers?!?!? 😅 3rd, I think the Corps will make it appear as if they were “reprimanded” but in reality they are getting fist bumps…as it should be. You know how that goes. lol I do think we are held to a higher standard in every way but that is what makes us MARINES. It’s hard to explain to others how being a Marine becomes your DNA and it never ever leaves. People don’t always understand it unless they have been there. Also, I 100% agree with you that this would have turned out differently had these Marines been active duty. I love how they flanked them and brought up the rear to give full circle back up! No where to go. What a fool. Lastly, this is one of the reasons I avoided wearing my dress uniform anywhere off base if I could. Most people appreciate the uniform even though they will never understand what it takes to earn the right to wear it or to be called a United States Marine. But there are always those idiots who want to challenge us. Jealously I guess? Love your videos. SEMPER FI!

Marines like to break things: objects, gear, people, vehicles, armies, countries.

First off, Heck Yeah! Those Marines handled themselves well. You can tell that they were trying to de-escalate for a few seconds, but when things went sideways, they did what they needed to to watch each other's backs.
Secondly, why the heck were the Police not intervening sooner? They waited until things turned ugly to actually step in and stop things. Very disappointed in the way this went down.
