Taking care of oneself having adhd can feel like an arduous task. An uphill battle for me if i were to be honest. Attention deficit disorder makes menial tasks seem boring or even hard to forget. I hope sharing these tips i learned will help others the way they help me. I don't always succeed in my daily self-care tips but I do have many habits I have built over the years. what simple self-care tips do you have? What is hard for you to add into your daily regimen? What self-care struggles and victories do you have? Let's face it, as a human we are a lot to take care of, ...sometimes it's overwhelming. What are your thoughts on this?

I just wanna say, when you said "like I've equated it to a dear in the headlights" I had to pause and laugh/cry for a good minute. you're so therapeutic. I'm glad I found my way back to your videos again.

I’ve been diagnosed with ADHD and my biggest challenge is a “racing mind” of all the things I want to do and being go go go! I love your tips. Prioritizing and focusing on 1 thing each day to move forward has helped. I also have a coach, exercise and morning routines! Love this🤗🙏

Helpful! I find its the smaller daily things that make a difference for me, like enough water, a walk, brush your teeth, etc When I do all the simple stuff it makes you wanna do the bigger stuff!

0:52 before I woke up I thought in my bed that I'm going to wake up and take care of myself and be responsible and brush my teeth today!! but then I picked up a phone and fell into the internet depths and now I'm here and dunno how long I've been here. I also saw some sugary chocolate muesli in a cupboard and ate it in my bed.. and I just got reminded I was supposed to brush my teeth in the morning;( btw Ive had adhd over 10yrs severe for sure, but I just got diagnosed week ago and actually have my meds now, but I don't have the routine of taking these yet. prolly should take in the morning first thing(tho doc said after meal maybe but I don't feel bad effects without, medikinet) and hide my phone so where? ugh, the struggle.
thank you for the vid btw, it was a good one. and very needed. :)

I have priorities. Brushing my hair isn't one of them. so many things to do! I never get bored, but I do get crazy!

This is great! I don't have ADHD but I did have two oral surgeries last month and I noticed how the self-care struggle was real. Even getting back into basic things felt difficult.

Love this topic. Build those good habits one by one. Love how you pointed out to add things into your routine incrementally and ensure they are also practical. Cheers!

Good point, make yourself a priority. doing what I need to do for myself helps me function better and that is also good for everyone else.
Hope you get better soon!

Hey! My struggle is actually getting my mind in a relax state when I plan a self-care day or self-care block of time. For example when I schedule a massage I will be thinking about other stuff and by the time I relax, the massage is almost over lol.

The biggest realization I've had (and I encourage my coaching clients to remember) is that self-care isn't a race. It's a journey. We can take small steps every day to make a difference and show up for ourselves with love. Great video and so happy you are feeling better. Much love to you!
