Why are female friendships like this…?

Your friendships and who you surround yourself with will determine the course of your life.

You don’t need a friend who will just agree with everything you say. You need one who will SHARPEN, ENCOURAGE and CHALLENGE you.

And sometimes that might mean pulling back from certain people… and that’s okay.

We are not fighting against people, we are fighting against the enemy.

Im in my 50s and have 2 friends. Most of my life ive avoided people who talk negatively about others. Girls at school...the girls in the office....my family about their partners.... i prefere my own company.

This is why I don't have friends currently just acquaintances...I need to find friends that call me higher and I the same for them. Very hard to find ladies like that these days

I had a similar experience except I started bragging on my husband. It went over like a ton of bricks. Needless to say, I stopped hanging out with them. I saw a car today that said, "men suck" and I thought my sons don't, my husband doesn't. It's a sad reality when we have so little respect for all men that a woman would put that on her car. I told my daughter today to be her brothers' cheerleader. It seems to me if we had more of those and less men bashing, maybe men would be better off. We women would benefit as well.

I had a best friend like that, and I remember I would even start talking and thinking like she would towards her husband not a good example.

I have totally been there as well, same situation and I've felt like the odd ball cause I thought the same way.
