Thank you. A great help to an important subject which I find really difficult.

Hi Leo,
Every time I set up a backup it fails during testing. Then after a few weeks it stops running without telling me.
Could you give us some thoughts on that? My disheartened IT self would like to read an article called "Why backups always fail, and what suggestions AskLeo has to comfort the cynical and despairing."
I have used EaseUS ToDo and Macrium Reflect.
Thanks!

Is EaseUS ToDo Backup still the prime choice after windows image backup (built in). Or has it changed meanwhile? I ask because I right now use aomei backupper but it seems to be really slow for an image backup in windows 11 and you show macrium reflect in a later video, but the free version will be soon end of time ...

If you backup your windows 10 that has whole drive encryption through something like veracrypt, will your backup be encrypted?

I have a 512 GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD & a 1TB HDD.
What device do you suggest I use to make an Image Back Up
Sata external SSD or a New 512 GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD with enclosure or bigger?
What about backing up the 1TB HDD?
NOTE: the M.2 512GB SSD is at 80% life left & 60% full. When should it be replaced?
Great Tutorials really great presentation Easy to follow.

I wish Windows had a fully featured one stop shop for backing up.

Does an image require a disk of the same size as my PC's HDD?

So many steps here. How can anyone remember all this unless they're a computer whiz?
