InPresence 0089: The Law of Concealment

InPresence host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, is author of The Roots of Consciousness, Psi Development Systems, and The PK Man. Between 1986 and 2002 he hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in "parapsychology" ever awarded by an accredited university (University of California, Berkeley, 1980). For many years he served as president of the non-profit Intuition Network, an organization dedicated to creating a world in which all people were supported and encouraged in developing inner intuitive abilities.

Here he discusses the third "cosmic law" formulated by his friends, Dean and Wendy Brown. He points out that while nature tends toward concealment, humans are especially adept at concealing information about themselves from themselves. On the other hand, many secrets are actually out in the open. Such secrets are protected by the fact that few people are ready, willing, and able to take action because of them.

Being an adult in the truest sense means moving between a variety of roles: a teacher, a learner, a helper, being able to live life without ego requires a level of maturity/grownup-ness many of us do not possess. So rather than being open to being enlightened, learning to see life differently and realizing that our points of view may not always be right, we become fixated on proving others to be wrong and dispute new ideas put forward. This narcissistic belief in ones own talent is what restricts us from becoming better people.

I meet my darkness. Facing the lower part one might realized its in us all, not att all pretty. It makes one humbel to other, to not judge. I think many fear the unknown because the ego doesent have any control in this mystery . Many wants to live in their "made up belive"of who they are and the world.
