Alternatively, you can select by color in gimp/krita/ps
Convert selection to vector, export SVG.

Import SVG into blender, convert curve to mesh, fill faces, extrude, export

Hello! Nice video. Can you make a video on how to do the same thing but add different heights to the image. Example the emblem to a certain height and the S to an even higher level. By thickness, like the base would be 1 cm height and the S to a 1.5 cm height.

Instead of offsetting mine have gone inward. What could be the reason?

it is not working at all for me. I have zero change of surface after doing every single step. Any idea why ? my picture is the same, its a png, black and white, I did subdivide twice a lot. put in UV etc...

How to make a Logo in the most convoluted way possible. I'd say tracing the shape manually by hand is faster, more accurate to the actual shape (especially on diagonals) and conserves polygons. Only downside with tracing might be that it takes a little bit longer when the logo is complex. but then again, a complex logo would require much more subdivisions and a much more careful cleanup.
