Obvious now you've said it. What better way to warm up than max' muscle stimulus with minimal risk of joint injury. Excellent as always.

I think the best testimonial for O.I. is the fact that you look significantly more muscular since you have been employing them. I was doing them consistently to help to get to an arbitrary strength level, and then I sorta dropped them; after seeing your routine I remember how helpful they were for accessing top end strength.

Gonna try this in my next session! it take my like 16 min to warm up with a little of low cardio and jumping jacks to pump the flow of blood in my body and then doing dynamic stretches

Could not agree more ! I try simple pushing my arms down with the other prior to pull ups and it is a massive improvement on my first set !

I found this out by accident last week.

I did a 3000+ burpee charity challenge through November, and in between I was doing strength training, so I thought I'd do the "Green Sally Up" challenge to test my strength and muscle endurance, I only did 1:20, so I thought next time I'd just hold the bottom isometric for as long as I could through the song. I did this for two days and on the second day I did my next burpee challenge straight after, and the bottom part of my pushup was the strongest I've ever felt, it felt like someone was pushing me up.

Isometrics open you up to a whole new world of exercise.

Thanks for the video and all your work, Matt.

I have the WorldFit Iso Trainer as well and it's great combined with bodyweight exercises. Currently carrying out an alternating split routine with 30 isometric pulses followed by a 30 second hold.

Yes, using them saves me a lot of time + I actually get a feel of my muscles! Great!

Do you warm up for the full workout at the beginning or do you warm up for each chain right beforehand?

I like this idea, but i find for myself muscle activation is a good part of it but not all when it comes about technical elements like one arm pull up... I also for planche training i need a minimum of rubber band planche simulation, wrist flexion and also my spine if i don't twist it feel always tight.... I will try out maybe I can short a lot more my super long warm up which takes me minimum 30 min... it's a hell work

I am currently 15 yr old and I weigh around 85kg at 5 feet 10 inches. My bmi tells me that I am overweight but still I can do basic calisthenics exercises like pull ups, push ups, dips, bw fl rows, squats with ease. My body fat is around 16%.

Is it ok if I keep on gaining only muscle?

(My fat level are almost constant only muscle mass in increasing.)

Hey Matt this is irrelevant to this video but what you think about doing shoulder exercises daily for health reasons? Like facepulls or lateral raises for posture and shoulder mobility. I ve heard a few fitness guys talk about it but I was wondering what you think 😛

Hey Matt, when programming overcoming isometrics as your primary source of strength training for a while: is doing a push, pull, squat for 3 to 5 sets each, full body 3 times per week seem adequate? What is your opinion?

To logical and intelligent. But good advice as always.

Hey, Matt. I’ve been walking about two to three miles outside everyday for the past month. I’ve noticed that I’ve been losing fat as a result, but It’s getting more difficult to maintain this routine as the weather changes and it gets colder. Should I switch to a three day-a-week (my gym is far away) incline treadmill walk? I don’t want to sabotage the results I’ve made, but I have to adapt in some way.

Hey Matt, Do you ever have so called lazy days once in a while where you just stay home and just watch TV or on your computer or something like that? Is that necessarily a bad thing as long as it is infrequent?
