not a new thing, not even close to a new thing, People have always been crap at determining age on sight. When I was a child my mothers marriage to my stepfather was in jeopardy due to the rumors around their workplace that my mother was cheating on my evil stepparent with a handsome younger man she'd been seen grocery shopping with. The young man was me her 12 year old son. At 15 my lil brother (9) and I were giving away puppies at the grocery store, back when that was legal, People were commenting about what a good father I was, for sitting with my son handing out puppies. Now I'm 49, and people think I'm 35.

I noticed the same thing the other day at work. I asked for a ladies ID. I couldn't believe she was born in 2002. She looked close to 40! I still get carded and I'm 36.

Gen Z has been overwhelmed by anxiety their whole lives due to being unable to look away from every problem some social media app or another is telling them they must be concerned about - of course they look old for their age!

I was shocked this guy is Gen Z - I legitimately thought he was older than me, like in his 40s.
