“Responsibly farm raised” is the new catchy phrase to say too

I strongly believe in your message Paul. I’m tempted to start a channel showing some of my routine and animal based recipes

The color added is added from nutrients they miss from being farmed. It's not like they are adding artificial colors.

This was part of the reason I moved to Alaska, now I just catch them myself 😁

One time I bought a whole wild salmon in BC, Canada from a Native man on the side of the road, and it was beautiful! It was freshly fished from the river. Even more delicious than sea-caught wild salmon 😊

I have been a Costco member for years and I haven't had no issues with their salmon.

I'm from the West Coast of British Columbia Canada fish country and I'll tell you right now that us locals don't eat farm fish. I know some gentlemen that work on the farms and they themselves won't even eat the stuff. You want to get some wild caught Chinook or coho, trust me you won't be disappointed.

“It should he white”. Shows real salmon being bright orange 😂

My local stores have sockeye and wild caught Atlantic salmon just fyi. I mostly do rainbow trout which is a freshwater cousin because it's cheaper and more my budget but even that is wild caught. They have both white fleshed rainbow trout and red fleshed and or steelhead. I buy the latter town most often if I'm wanting something like salmon. They aren't the same but the nutrients are similar enough that it's a pretty good option especially if wild caught

Please do a video on your thoughts regarding almonds, cashews, and pistachios

Farm raised from scotland or Farroe islands is ok. That's what sushi restaurants use for the most part. High end places probably used farm raised from New Zealand.

The red coloring is astaxanthin. A natural carotenoid from algae. I take it as a supplement.

I'm not going to write a huge explanation of why this video is misleading. Just know the "coloring" they add to farm raised salmon is astaxanthin. Look up what that is and decide for yourself if farm raised salmon ahould be considered a health food or not. This guy has some good advice but the pressure to keep putting out new content is causing him to scrape the bottom of the barrel and sensationalize things that need not be.

In my entire life, Ive never seen white colored salmon, I actually thought the red color was what it looks like naturally

That's 1 of the things I miss from when I was living in the Oregon years ago. We'd buy salmon at the dock from those who caught it. OMG I miss that.

Paul, totally unrelated to the video, but where did you get those loafers?

Why is it much better? You did not provided enough details.
You mentioned some pretty terrible stuff in that wild salmon.
