"I didn't die saving the world, I died saving Clara, the rest of you just got lucky."  The man had priorities.  Also, canonically accurate, because in the episode death in heaven the Doctor states "love is not an emotion, love is a promise" and Dany's promise is to Clara, "You will sleep safe tonight" not the world, to Clara.  So yes, Dany burned all those cybermen to burn the clouds to keep Clara safe, everyone else was just a perk.

I actually really liked Danny when he was first introduced, and he was fun in In The Forest of the Night, but the rest of the time he was just used for drama. Really unfortunate.

This scene always makes me cry so hard because it’s true. Christmas is beautiful because you get to spend it with those you love. But how many Christmases do you have left with them?
This just got to me so badly. I love it.
I just wonder why Christmas episodes always have to be so sad :(

When this aired last Christmas it was my little sisters last Christmas as well this scene gets to me everytime

I liked danny as a character but I hated what they did to him. It would’ve been a really cool play on the Doctor and a Soldier like we saw with Captain Harkness. Instead of exploring the Doctor’s hatred of fighting, we got a soap opera. Danny represented a retirement plan for Clara that didn’t involve wiped memories, alternate dimensions, or death. It’s really sad that they never gave him a chance as a true companion
