After more than thirty years of service as one of the Navy’s top aviators, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell (Tom Cruise) is where he belongs, pushing the envelope as a courageous test pilot and dodging the advancement in rank that would ground him. I have never been so excited about a sequel in my entire life. I am 44 years old and I am so going to the theaters on May 27th!

I was in the Navy from 94 to the end of 96 and served on the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Eisenhower, CVN-69. I was a redshirt AO (Aviation Ordananceman) and we brought the ordinance from the weapons storage area to the flight deck and often helped the red shirt flight crew load them up as the larger bombs took multiple people to mount (Hernia bars were called that for a reason!!!). I dont think I met a pilot that didn't reference Top Gun as being a big reason for them joining and flying. Hell at least a third of the enlisted cited this movie as well. I will NEVER forget my time on the flight deck, watching F-14 Tomcat's and F/A-18 Hornet's take off and land was just awe-inspiring! CAN NOT WAIT for this movie to launch, looking at all the work they actually put in is AMAZING, and I think it will show on screen!

54 years old here. excited for this. i grew up on aviation. my grandfather was all about flight as a patent attorney and aeronautical engineer; we built incredible flying kites and scale model planes. he would be so proud of this movie. and i am getting chills.

I was 12 when top gun came out. I loved the NAVY even as a young kid and after seeing top gun that sealed it for me. I went in DEP and I was in bootcaml at 17 years old. I turned 18 in the middle of navy boot camp, San Diego RTC. I cherish my NAVY time and Top Gun had a large part in that.

I was at the Fairlawn NJ premiere. It was wild. Only movie to ever give me goosebumps was 2005s war of the worlds along w this one. I’m def seeing it again.

Helped sound guys and film guys get good shots aboard the Abraham Lincoln, the attention to detail is unmatched for the movies I've seen them make over my Navy career, hope it's astounding.

I initially a bit skeptic after watching the first teaser. After watching the full trailer and behind the scenes videos like this, it made me highly excited to watch it. Tom are known for giving his all for movies he took a part in (acting, producing, or both), and this video shows it. It's been quite a while since the last time we have a decent aviation movies, especially the ones with minimum SFX and CGI.
