All the things they mention Russia is developing is already in both the UK and US arsenal. If they got it, why can´t Russia get it? Propaganda at it´s finest ITV News, congrats...

American defence spending in 2017 was 610 billion. France 57 billion. UK 47 billion. Germany 44 billion. Russia spent just over 60 billion. Counting just four NATO countries, that's 750 Billion or so v. 60 Billion.

Its understanding the advantages we already have that we need to understand what we can achieve within any budget over a year what long term significant results can be achieved.

I agree with an increase in spending to meet current and future requirements - but this demonising of Russia always seems to be the excuse; maybe they can make the case based on who has attacked the UK or who hasn't the UK attacked.

Given the old Europe empires or countries attack Russia at any opportunity, or our allies feeble reasoning and recent destruction of several countries, you have to ask - who is the more aggressive.

Russian Foreign Ministry official, who was briefing foreign envoys in Moscow, added that London is hiding facts and could destroy key evidence in the nerve agent attack.

Speaking at a press conference in Moscow on Wednesday Ermakov said that "either the British authorities are unable to protect from a terrorist attack on its territory or staged the attack themselves."

The British and the US ambassadors refused to attend the meeting and sent lower-level diplomats, instead.

On March 4, Sergei Skripal and his daughter, Yulia, were found unconscious outside a shopping center in the town of Salisbury in southern England. The two are still in coma.

The 66-year-old would sell secrets to Britain during the Soviet era and was handed over to London in a 2010 spy swap.

On Tuesday, 23 Russian diplomats who were expelled from the UK over the Skripal poisoning case left the country.

Last week, UK Prime Minister Theresa May ordered the expulsion of Russian diplomats, claiming that it was "highly likely" that Russian government was involved in Skripal's poisoning.
