Honestly, I am at a point in my life where I would rather be happy than smart. My grades aren't as good as they used to be, but I have good friends, a fulfilling social life and I have more exciting experiences in the outside world, and I'm happy with that :)

1. Never watched a psych2go video before where I related so little to the signs.
2. Just found out that I‘m not gifted, but just mentally ill with childhood asthma.
3. Apart from that, being gifted sounds like a sure way to make you elementary school teacher hate you.
4. I‘m extremely good with languages which now for no reason fills me with worry about my intelligence.

Here’s the thing with me, I have shown many signs throughout my 18 years of cyclothymia, I’ve done research of my own on it before coming across this video. However, I also exceed when it comes to language, vocabulary, grammar, spelling, (and I can also read aloud as fast as if I’m rapping) etc., to back this up 3 of my English teachers so far have commended my work in front of the whole class. I’ve always been an extremely emotional person, but I also have a strong logical side as well. I can remember several times when I actually released my emotions or feelings (as a young child), and it actually swayed the opinions and perspectives of those around me looking back at it.

Being left handed isn’t a sign of giftedness. The fact that more left-handed are gifted doesn’t mean, it is something to count on

I feel like i have emotional memory.

like i can remember things scarily accurate when there is a feeling attached to it.

but it also means that if there is no emotion attached to it.

i can't remember it quit well and it will fly off my mind.

which make lectures like math extremely hard for me.

i'm also left handed but in the world we live in, the things you mentioned feels more like a curse than a present or "gifted".

i also have extreme mood swings.

like i said, i'm really not sure it's a gift

I'm academically gifted. As a child my friends were in their 60s..I was way ahead of my time. I couldn't finish college on time because I got really sick but I went back and am doing great..

I thought that ability to speak and comprehend foreign languages is a sort of being gifted. Now I see that I was wrong (a useless time-spending to learn 5 languages that I’ve ever had in my entire life)
