Students’ understanding in this question:
1. Enthalpy change of reaction is equal to sum of the standard enthalpies of formation of the products minus the sum of the standard enthalpies of formation of the reactants.
2. Enthalpy change of reaction is equal to the sum of the bond enthalpies of the broken bonds minus the sum of the energies of the bonds that are formed.
3. The enthalpy change of formation of element is zero.
