Obi-Wan Explains 'Ben' is what Satine used to call Him. I love this.

In the Kenobi novel, Ben is what Satine used to called Obi-Wan in the Clone Wars, as a sort of endearing name. This is why he chose the name Ben while watching over Luke Skywalker on Tatooine.

This is legends, but it was in the Kenobi novel which was released in 2012 I believe. It could be turned into canon if the show decides to use it, but if not, no worries. I find it really endearing.

Just shows how much stronger Obiwan was than Anakin. Ben would have left the Jedi order for Satine, Anakin never would because he craved power. Anakin practically threw himself at the dark side when Padme was simply at risk, Ben had all the reason in the world to go full dark side when Satine was murdered in front of him, but didn’t.

I can't believe this actually made it to the Legends book on Kenobi. Tbh, this makes me want to love Obi-wan and Satine as a couple even more. Forgive me for being so soft about this detail on where Obi-wan got the name "Ben" from but they are my favorite Star Wars couples. 🥺🥰

That's true. Obi-wan and Satine were long time partners and best friends to each other--just like him and Anakin are. In the CW series, it shown Satine and Obi-Wan falling in love with each other--just like Anakin and Padme did too as well. But due to the Jedi code Obi-Wan couldn't so that's why he and Satine had a little conflict with each other. Yet them both together is kinda strangely cute.

The Satine Kenobi love story is really an homage to Moulin Rouge, both are named Satine, both are queens in their own respective places and both die in the arms of their forbidden lover who cherished them more than life itself... thid is even cuter, but I just feel, if you havent already, you should watch ben kenobi sing like an angel and cry like a baby. Its a beautiful story!

An example of how a minor and petty thing can make a huge difference. What I like about their relationship is that they both understood that they have duties to undertake, they can quit and live their lives at any time but they sacrifice it for the greater good instead they both kept each other in their hearts while doing said duties without distracted. The trust is well established.

Even in death, she was always with him in his darkest moments of his lifetime just in the form of that simple nickname, Ben.

True love truly never dies.
