Hit this problem after the Win 10 April 2019 update on my Nvidia GTX960M. Did the trick getting things working again for me. Cheers.

I had to manually select cpu driver. in the "settings cpu selection mode"" instead of auto

Worked but when i got in to open a project it would crash and say something went wrong with davinci resolve then it said send a report of your problem

Please suggest me that "what is cuda capable GPU". I don't have Graphics Card in my lappy. So can I install cuda capable GPU in it?

Are you guys having problems with the free version or the studio version of resolve? The reason I'm asking is that I'm running 16.1 free on my apache Pro 32gb with gtx970m gpu Maxwell without issues but my gpu can't take the studio driver... I'm afraid if I buy the studio version that I may run into problems?

No need for this you just click Update config>>GPU>> remove the auto selection and make it OpenCL and close and open program again it will work
