Hi. Is it practical for you to do a video recommending movements for those suffering from, say, severe leg/hip arthritis and/or spinal/ lumber stenosis. Again, thanks much for such practical, useful tips - and your humor!

Exactly what I needed. I’ve been doing hatha yoga but was confused bec. I felt u focused not knowing what I was doing, looking around to see what the others were doing. I thought I was doing something wrong by needing to know what I was doing instead of just trying to do stretches blindly.

I think any kind of stretching is fruitless without understanding the nature of the musculoskeletal system as a tensegrity structure. You gotta understand your body as a whole using biomechanical analysis to understand where the tension is coming from.

I recently started watching you videos and adore how educational they are! I would love to see a video targeting prevention and treatment of carpal and ulnar tunnel.

I stretch daily and still struggle with releasing the muscle tension on the backside of the ulna from ring finger and pinky to the elbow and occasionally get shooting pains into the shoulder. I would love to hear your perspective on techniques to strengthen and stretch hands to shoulders

A lot of information packed into a simple title. Good video. Yes, I routinely do stretches, many like these, and do work on sustaining for longer periods of time. I do that partly because so many stretches also include strengthening.

I've been sitting in a forward down position so long my muscles have literally been pulled over and down over my shoulders, my whole body has done this, and every muscle in my body is literally in knots, so stretching isn't doing anything to help. I actually came up with a way to open up my muscles using hand and finger gestures that help me focus on one muscle at a time . I use my thumb and another finger on the same hand to open muscles, put your thumb and another finger pinched together then focus on a really tight muscle then open your fingers slowly, do this until you can feel your muscle opening up, I don't know what this is called but I figured it out on my own and I wish other people knew how, it has actually worked really well. There's alot more to it, you have to focus on relaxing the muscle you want to open. It takes time and practice. And the more you try it the better you get at it and the more of an understanding that every muscle is connected to another. It's really amazing.

This was very helpful, thank you! I have stretched my whole life and am quite flexible and hyper mobile but seriously lack the strength to protect my joints. I feel like I finally understand when I need to stop pushing the movement, build strength and how to protect myself.

I learned that I’ve been stretching incorrectly my whole life!!! I have very tight muscles - anyone who touches me (chiropractor, physiotherapist, osteopath, husband) says how tight I am…yeah I know!!! It causes me problems every day! Thank you for sharing your knowledge - I’m looking forward to increased flexibility at a safe pace.

the timing of your videos is always hilarious. I JUST recently started having life changing breakthroughs on stretches which was a result of me realizing I needed to engage the muscle I was targeting to get it to start to relax. Many, many years of incorrect stretching, and you just confirmed I wasn't crazy. Do you have any videos on releasing the upper chest / sternum area? Turns out I've been so tight in my chest for 20+ years that it lead to a twisted pelvis and sinus problems, and now I need to lengthen my upper chest regularly somehow.

17:00 TRY A DOORWAY for that shoulder stretch. You can get all those angles too. Or those wall angel-angles, grin.

Really great video. Only silly question: what to do on rest days to maximise recuperation?

Hi UH, Thank you for the information on how to stretch properly. Do you have a video routine on how to get to a full side split? Thanks! John R.
