This is exactly true. When leadership shows responsibility and respect, all the employees convey that to the customers!

Good managers make a big difference to how we feel about our jobs. Just this week, my general manager said "we're doing this" and I turned around and said "I disagree, we should do this for these reasons". He agreed with me. The fact he was OK to be challenged and have his mind changed meant I felt listened to and that he appreciated my skills and knowledge. I don't love my job but I'm working on it.

I worked at a sub shop and the owner was so sincere when thanking his workers appreciative of their contributions that everyone was on his side and enjoyed working there. This is exactly the relationship one should foster.

The keyword is any manage not just his manager. Most of the time it’s the hierarchy and the structure of the business that cause all the issues with regards to the environment and performance

I am working in an international company.. After spending 8 months I discovered that I was under paid comparing to my counterparts. I booked an appointment with my manager and explained that to him he immediately pushed back in a very bad way which led me to not being able to perform as I should or as the work requires me to do.. It would make a lot of difference if he said thank you for your feedback.. Let me check and get back to you instead of pushing back immediately without checking with HR... The lesson learned is do not look for an international company to work with. Instead look for a good manager no matter the company size is
