They also feel different to use when you write with them aswell. Personally I like gel pens the most because ballpoints feel too slippery and rollerball feels somewhat "heavy". They are all good tho depending on usage and personal preference

Ballpoint pen - oil based
Gel - water based gel
Roller - freeflowing liquid.... but what? Oil or water?
