I was Catholic in the beginning of my life, but my grandmother was Christian so I got to see that side of it too. I have to say the Christian side of it I had more of a pull on me than the Catholic side. But I still went off into life not truly believing. The very minute I got saved God pointed me directly to my grandma's Church Christian Trinity and I have been very blessed ever since. God bless brothers and sisters.

We need to pray for every heart to be open and the scales on the eyes to be removed and their ears to understand, we do all things with love ❤️

Was born into a Protestant church and never considered Catholicism, because of the same teachings I’m hearing from this video, then I studied Jewish theology and traditions and realized the deep connections in New Testament. Realized that Protestantism is not even close to what the early believers believed or practiced. I was in limbo for a while and stumbled into testimonies from ex Protestants who converted to Catholicism and realized they were told the same lies I was told about Catholicism. I began to study and started to see the connections between the Judaism practiced in Jesus time and Catholicism, the same concepts, ideas, nuances etc. It made me realized that Protestants are just a modern self interpretation of the New Testament, then I read the Church fathers and the Apostolic fathers, the ones taught directly by the apostles themselves, and they sounded so Catholic and holding to the same Jewish ideas held in Jesus time. Never understood why Catholics would leave such a rich tradition handed down to them by the apostles but then I realized that most Catholics that leave are ignorant about their faith and don’t have the same mindset that the early believers had, they basically interpret the Bible with their 21st century mindset. Honestly I wish people like this would actually debate the real Catholicism and not the straw man they set up. Catholicism is much more nuanced and can better explain scripture, but even better we have the teaching the was passed down from teacher to student from generation to generation. Unfortunately uninformed Catholics become Protestants but informed Protestants become Catholic. No offense to any Protestant here, Catholics consider you brothers but your ideas like Sola Scriptura and Sola fide and the rapture and many more are just modern innovations that no one believed in the first 1500 years of Christianity.

I’m Catholic and have been for 44 years. I might not agree with everything that Christians do or say but I am happy that we are all brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ our Lord.

I was raised Catholic. Even as a young girl, I wondered why people would pray to the saints. Who can even come close to Jesus? I'm thankful to God for showing me the truth. Catholics are deceived because they don't read the bible. Even if you show them scriptures, they deny the word of God and choose to believe in their traditions. Read the Bible, people. The truth will set you free.

As part of my testimony I was challenged by an ex coworker JW about praying to saints or Mary. As a so called catholic ( not evening going to mass). Would get upset amd so I told her " I'm not gonna receive what your telling me I'm gonna read the bible for myself and find out. It planted a seed and made me want to read the bible for truth. And the truth set me free

Grew up Catholic. I always questioned a lot of their beliefs. When I was in my 30’s, I started getting very hungry for more. I had heard of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and I knew I didn’t have that. Thank you Jesus for saving me! 🙏

I was raised protestant but as i got older I just genuinely grew curious about which route is the correct one. Thank you Isaiah for this video. Pray for me in my quest for the truth.

I was born into Catholicism and baptized as a baby in the Catholic Church. Growing up I always got very weird feelings about the church and I never knew anything they were preaching. Nothing ever made sense and I went to a Christian camp when I was around 7 years old and I remember I liked it so much more. So I started telling my friends and family I was a Christian and my family was not happy about that. I never did anything with it I just knew there was a God and I prayed to Him every night. I lived a worldly life for my entire life until 18 years old I started going to church. I was forced by my step mom and I hated going but then one day the pastor said if you want to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior raise your hand and repeat this prayer. So I did and I started learning about Jesus (for the first time in my life) I moved out around 6 months after I said that prayer and started going to church alone and with my girlfriend at the time. I lived a very worldly (lukewarm) life for about 4 years, I was living two separate life’s. It was killing me. So last year (2021) I gave it my all to Christ. I surrendered everything and I took the leap of Faith to give my life to Jesus. So I did, I asked God to take out anyone from my life who was holding me back from my relationship with Him and I lost a lot of people, including my girlfriend at the of over 3 years it broke me. I was at an all time low, the road got real bumpy but I held on and Jesus was putting some work into me. I prayed, I wept with Him, I was doing everything the Holy Spirit wanted me to do and when I fell back into my worldly ways it would completely eat me up. It was like that until about the end 2021. Then when 2022 started Jesus took away everything I was struggling with! All my personal stuff I was struggling with, my singleness, my hurting, and I was finally so so happy! I can truly say my old self has died and I AM A NEW CREATION IN CHRIST! I started praying to the Lord about a girl to come into my life and I never got an answer or felt anything until one night I felt the Lord urging my to reach back out to my previous girlfriend I was dating and I prayed on that for about a month and I finally reached back out to her and it comes to find out she surrendered her life fully to Christ and she told me He saved her! The was she explained it was she would not be here today if Jesus didn’t come to her and save her. So we started hanging out and we are both new creations through Christ and I look back on this last year and all I can do is thank God. Trust God, even through the darkest times and through the toughest battles. Giving your life to Christ doesn’t always mean it’s going to be easier but it’s for sure going to make a lot more sense. This is the first time I shared my testimony and I didn’t even mean to but I pray this can help someone or maybe make someone smile today. God bless ❤️

I started attending the Catholic Church a few years ago coming from growing up in a Christian home and attending baptist, Pentecostal, charismatic and non- denominational churches.

Here are my thoughts on the Catholic Church from my own experience and what I have learned so far.

Every Sunday Mass is completely centred on Jesus. The whole Mass/service is to prepare you to receive Jesus himself. From the music to the liturgy to the pictures on the wall, it is all set up for you to focus completely on Jesus and prepare your heart to receive him.

I never have worshipped Mary, never was told to and never noticed anyone else doing that. ( I have been told by others though that there are probably some that do worship Mary in the church and idolize her, But that is not the teaching of the church.

I do not have a problem praying the rosary or praying to Mary. I still pray a lot to Jesus but I have in desperate times prayed to Mary and received a lot of grace through doing so.

I am very thankful that Jesus gave us his mother. It’s His goodness to us. God new we needed a mother. Sometimes in life we need a mother to care for us and nurture us and praying to Mary is like that. And she had the fullness of grace on her. The Holy Spirit. So she is full of grace. So we pray to her to intercede on our behalf because she has that anointing on her.

Just like you would go and ask an anointed pastor for prayer, or a pastor that had an anointing of healing. You would ask them to pray for you.

The Catholics believe that Mary is very much alive and praying and interceding on our behalf.

I’m still learning about the Catholic Church and faith so I’m not a theologian so I don’t know all the answers.

I’m writing this because I used to have so many incorrect thoughts about the Catholic Church but since going there for the past few years I have a different view point on it now.

I believe Catholics are Christians. They love and serve the same Jesus. I think also that the Catholics that go deep in their faith have a stronger faith in the Lord and a deeper prayer life than I have ever seen in other Christian denominations. Not saying this to compare in a negative way, it’s just something that I observed.

I believe God is calling for unity. We do serve the same God and the same Jesus.

And the Catholics can point out so many negative aspects (Man made ideas and aspects) about the Protestant/Other denomination churches. Both are not perfect.

There is a lot that the Catholics have that the Protestants do not have and would greatly benefit from. There is also a need in the Catholic Church for what some of the Protestant’s have.

I believe both groups of Churches are needed and I believe God is going to use both Protestant and Catholic Churches.

Jesus main purpose is for all men to come and know him. And Catholics from my own experience do know Him. But is is also a very large church and you get what they call “cradle Catholics” which are those that do not really practice the faith.

These are just my thought. Jesus loves His church- it’s His Bride. He will never stop fighting for her. I just think if we could all agree on that then we could put aside some of our differences and come in unity as brothers and sisters in Christ.

That’s all I have to say.

Please, I don’t want to debate anyone or other ideas/thoughts.

I’m only writing this to share my experience with you all because I believe God is for both churches and is with both churches.

Blessings!

Mandy

Yes we Catholics do "pray" to Mary and the Saints. But there is a difference in the meaning of the words "pray" and "worship". Protestants seem to misunderstand the word "pray" as synonymous with worship. The word "pray" comes from the Latin word "precari" which means "to ask" - we ask Mary and the Saints to help us and pray for us. This is the same as asking a friend or family member to to pray for us, only Mary and the Saints are much closer to God and can directly advocate for us to Him.

I'm glad Reason and Theology refuted this nonsense. We need to expose these guys that make videos without doing any homework and claim to know what they are talking about.

I grew up in Roman catholic church and bcz of their teachings all I thought I had to do was believe in God, be a good person, pray and go to church every Sunday however I was forced into this and never had a choice. One day something bad, I prayed to God and nothing happened and my grandparents were treating me harshly and I decided at the time to not care about God live life without God not being involved in heaven nor hell and decided I was neutral and I'll go to purgatory until 1 day when I had school project in high school freshman year, i went to my friends house to do the work and his mom spent 3hrs sharing the gospel with us I was so enlightened that I decided to pray more often then I went on Tik tok and got encouraged to read the bible then met some friends who also got me to read the bible and when I finally opened the bible, I understood why my prayer wasn't answered, the things God did for my life which I am grateful for and that catholicsm is a lie and I quit being a catholic but my grandparents don't know and they won't know until next year when I graduate high school

Thank you for the clarification. I was in the Roman catholic church for over 20 years. Most of my family still are. I am a Christian by the grace of Yahweh. My mom died, the catholic church forced my family out of the church bc they had a wedding right after the mass for my mom. I left the RCC after that. Met my Christian wife and started reading the Bible. My walk with Christ has changed me completely. Thank You Lord.

I was raised a catholic, never got anything from it. I used to have dreams as far back as I can remember, of demons in my church. As an adult, I see why now. I lived in total darkness as a catholic. Jesus saved me in 2013. Praise Jesus!!! Catholics are no different than Hindus, Jewish, or any other man made religion. They also pray the rosary which is an idol in itself.

Thank you for this video, my husband was raised catholic & my mom, but they didn't agree with things that they believed. My mom raised me Christian & my husband now is one, he said it's easier to understand for him. He didn't understand why catholics prayed to Mary, prayer beads etc. That it wasn't biblical.
