Russian President Vladimir Putin, in an interview with French publication Le Figaro, has insinuated that a US president is more often than not just a figurehead of government. A certain person may be elected by the public on the basis of his or her merit and ideals – but rarely is this person able to formulate policy. Putin explained that the ‘bureaucracy’ in the US, which is more commonly known as the Deep State, is very powerful and as such does not allow any real change in direction.

“Presidents come and go, but the politics remain the same.” As such, an individual, who may have genuine ideas, is elected into the White House only to satisfy the democratic process taking place. “Men in dark suits”, who remain anonymous to the voting public, continue to pursue the well-established interests of the elite with each incoming administration.

It's so strange! (Living in Sweden)
It doesn't make sense when Swedish politicians speak out. You always get a feeling that they are not telling the truth and that they are hiding something. But every time I listen to what Putin says, it sounds very solid and makes total sense! I actually wish we had a Prime minister like Putin in Sweden.

This man has more clarity than anyone else in the Western political or media establishment. The Western World is lucky to have such a level headed man in charge of Russian foreign policy when our own Western leaders are so lacking in this area in their own.

After blindly following the US for more than a few decades, which has led the world nowhere, countries should follow proven Russian policies. It might lead to something better.
But no, they won't do that, especially the US and EU! I don't understand their Russophobia at all!

It is extraordinary that we have been conditioned to think that Russia is this big scary thing. Have we forgotten they lost over 20 million in World War 2 and they were on our side. ? Soviet Union is dead so communism is no longer a threat. How many global conflicts has Russia been in the last 30 years in comparison to us. Politicians are politicians but Putin is criticized because he is smarter than nearly all of them by being less dishonest than the rest of them and less aggressive in the military option in Global affairs and we the people are Peace seekers.!
