The vent was cut on both those suits. The right is double vent (vents either side) left is single vent (vent in the middle) neither are stitched though.

5. When trying on a suit make sure the shoulders fit and it can be buttoned. A tailor can take in a jacket but usually can’t be let out.
6. Make sure length of jacket is proportional to your height. Shorter men usually want a longer jacket to help elongate. Taller men can opt for a shorter jacket to look more proportional.
7. Lapel width should usually determine type of shirt collar. Lapel width should also be based on face type. Example: a wider chubbier face should not usually choose wide lapels, skinnier lapels will help visually to elongate the face verse a skinnier face type can wear wide lapels to help balance out visually.
8. Never wear a suit off the rack. A cheaper suit that is tailored will always look better than an expensive suit that is not.
9. Things that should be tailored - pants should have the waist, length, and thighs taken in to fit you as an individual. Jacket - waist of jacket to be taken in to fit you, sleeve length tailored so a quarter inch (can vary a tiny bit) of shirt sleeve is shown at any given time as well as sleeves to be tapered from your bicep to your wrist to fit your arms. Tailor all these things and you will look like a million bucks. It can get expensive, depending on the suit my tailor charges around $250 to alter all of the above. Remember a cheap suit tailored looks better than an expensive suit off the rack.
