I just had the 4 year maintenance service done on my Tesla. Brake fluid flush, coolant flush, AC desiccant bag replaced, new wiper blades, fob batteries and cabin air filter.

You can run the AC or heat without running the engine, so taking a nap in an ev will be comfortable

2:16 Leaf cooling fluid replacement? Surely the air is replaced naturally as you move along?

Came here because I wanted to take better care of my electric car. Left satisfied. Thank you Roadshow

The biggest problem with electric cars is not the cars themselves, but politics. There are big oil lobbies that want Americans to keep using gas and oil in cars

My Volt has 90, 000 miles and has only had four oil changes and one new set of tires

Excellent list. For many EV owners, the tires and charging for battery longevity is all you have to worry about.
In all cars, it is ideal to change your brake fluid every 2 years or 24, 000 miles. If you want to have a trouble-free breaking system for 300, 000 miles +.

Have a 2018 model 3 and maintenance has been basically nothing. One set of tires and just hab the 12 volt battery replaced and brakes serviced for a grand total of about 1700 dollars in six years. Not even close to what my ice car cost in maintenance for one year.

Hey! How dare you accuse me of not rotating my tires good sir!

Hell less than ICE
no oil change or oil leaks or burn oil
no transmission oil or failure
no fuel mess
no toxic film inside car when long idling in cold or hot weather

Instant cooling and heat
Instant torque for safety

Kinda expecting windshield washer fluid to make it in there lol.

At least you can't be half asleep on your way to work and put the wrong electricity in your EV.

2:18 -- Does a LEAF even have coolant? I thought there was no active thermal management of LEAF batteries? My e-Golf is the same: passive cooling only.

I have 88k miles on my 2013 Volt - have paid for 3 oil change services at $40 each and replaced the tires at 60k. That's it! Love the car and the extreme low maintenance requirements...

Indeed, EVs are not maintenance free. Just almost maintenance free. And compared to an ICE vehicle it feels like they're maintenance free. And when you do maintenance, the cost is a lot lower.

These recommendations hold up pretty well after 5 years.

I have long conceptualized about magnetic touch-less brakes. So when you brake, the magnets on the wheel would be opposing the stationary magnets on the magnetic touch-less brake pads.
