Extra virgin olive oil is expensive, even in the south of Italy 😢

Best olive oil I tasted so far came from Palestine.

USD 27 or AUD 42 per little but totally worth it for its flavour.

Alas, the only ones that pass are brands I have never seen in the US!

...and I have been calling Bertolli "motor oil" for 30 years, and I use it for frying because it's fairly cheap at Costco.

Always go for Greek..currently using a limited edition from Aristeon - Dopia, made from olives from ancient olive trees that grow on the island of Zakynthos.. Bought it from a local factory there. Go local for quality!

I recently bought a bottle of Monini organic as well as a bottle of Monini Classico to compare the 2 and I was shocked to find the organic one tasted bland by comparison. I thought there must’ve been something wrong with my palate 😝

Great Video. Cobram Estate is one of my usual go tos. Could we see some more Australian EVOO reviews (including WA Ones)

Monini is ok and even Bertolli improved a lot after the motor oil being found in them. But i love the Spanish ones far more. Even bog standard la espanola olive oil at least brings something interesting taste to the table.

The Italian and the greek ones all taste almost the same, like grass or green tomatoes with only small nuances being different because they all use the same type of olive out of tradition.

In my cabinet right now is Rustico Asaro. You taught me what to look for and to check the date. ❤

Hmm Cobram estate is ok, I found red island to have a bit more flavour. My personal favourite is not in supermarkets, Grampians.

I have Greek one, it's so pungent your throat burns. It's quite nice

So true! Monini is the best tasting out of all of them. I love how Cobram have detailed descriptions on their labels, i.e., the notes and which type of meat best paired with.
Im also loving the Red Island EVOO at the moment.
Any of these, only when coles or woolies lists them for 1/2 price, of course 😅

I use Terra Delyssa organic extra virgin olive oil (first cold press). They claim that their oil is grown and processed on the same farm. Any thoughts on that brand/process would be much appreciated.
