So first, an apology. It would seem most people who came to this video were looking for differences between Catholics and Protestant Christians. I've now made a video addressing that very question. It's a bit longer, and goes through history, earthly organisation, and beliefs. Check it out on my channel, or click the links I've embedded in this video.

Woooo, Ukrainian rite Catholic here :)

Basically it means that some Ukrainians who were Orthodox came BACK to the Catholic faith, but kept their Eastern Traditions. :)

That was an awful explanation and didn’t actually explain anything.

This video begins with an incorrect definition of what or who is a Christian. To be a genuine Christian you must also believe:

1. Jesus is God

2. Jesus died on the cross for their sins.

3. Jesus Rose from the dead and is still alive today.

“Difference between Catholics and Christians” Catholic is a branch of Christianity, Protestantism and orthodoxy are also branches of Christianity. Christianity as a whole is all of them

“I will go peaceably and firmly to the Catholic Church: for if Faith is so important to our salvation, I will seek it where true Faith first began, seek it among those who received it from God Himself.” (St Elizabeth Anne Seton)

There is no difference both Catholics and Protestants both need Jesus perfect Sacrifice for salvation. What I think is the Catholics put emphasis upon the role of Pope, Priests, Nuns, but especially the Church’s role in Salvation. The Church is there for worship and teaching but only God can forgive sin so the Priest is another word for pastor but he can’t forgive any Sins.

Compare Christianity with a cake. Most important part is the cake, not the icing. To me it's much tastier with the icing but for some maybe not. Catholic church promotes the cake with icing and others promote it without. The choice is yours. In the final analysis it's between you and God and not between you and the church

The difference as I understand it is that catholics believe in faith and works for their salvation and other Christian’s believe salvation is by faith and the works follow naturally out of the desire god puts in them to be sanctified. Ephesians 2: 8-9

This is very informative! I knew that there were Catholics, Protestants, and Orthodox Christians but I didn't know there was "other". Very cool.

I am Catholic but I believe that Jesus (Rom.8:34) and the HS (Rom. 8:26-27) intercedes for us. Mama Mary IS NOT our intercessor. The Pope is wrong. If only we Catholics delve into the 66, not 73 books of the Bible. We will see that most of the teachings of the leaders of our Catholic faith are unbiblical. Let's read the Bible & start questioning the Vatican. Catholics are the first Christians. The first Christians know the Old Testament by heart.

Catholics believe in Mary, virgin mary and pray to her. She is huge part in lifes in catholics. Catholics are Christians too at the same time.

I'm Catholic and can mainly answer this question that from what i am aware of and have looked into is that Chrisitans dont believe that Mary was the mother of God and a Virgin that was blessed by God to give birth to Jesus Christ, Christians also dont believe in saints as we do, and also dont pray the hail mary and maybe more?..

its actually sad that we are seperated by our churches also..
