Wait... an accurate and fair depiction of the Catholic Church by a non-Catholic channel? What witchery is this?!

Wow this is the most unbiased video I watched when talking about the Catholic Church for an non religious channel. No hatred, no propaganda behind, just facts and history. I was always upset when someone try to introduce about the Church but always have some sense of conspiracy behind the video. I am very pleased with this video. Proud to be and will always be Catholic.

As a Catholic, I thank you for not condemning us Catholics. I have seen the "claims" about us, but you were respectful and didn't bash us in for the scandals we have faced. Thank you!

You did your research. Thank for giving a good depiction of the church. I am a Catholic seminarian, studying for the priesthood. Thank you for the video

I started drinking when I was 16. I would drink at parties, but I also started drinking alone because I was unhappy, and I was in a lot of emotional pain all the time. My mom was very aggressive when I was younger, and my brother hated her and so did I. He started hanging out with shady people, he started failing all his classes, he was never home, and my parents fought all the time. I also ran away several times. I was always trying to figure out a reason as to why I was here or what the purpose of life was. So, I started looking at different philosophies, religions, and beliefs. When I was 18 after I was hungover, I got on my knees and I prayed for the first time. I asked if God was real that he would show me he was real because I couldn’t take it anymore. I was crying when I prayed for this. At that moment I felt a presence come over me like a wind. It was barely noticeable, but it was unlike anything in my life I had experienced up until that point. I was surprised when I felt it and I remember saying “what was that?” after that experience I pretty much forgot what happened and kept partying, until my senior year when I got arrested. After my arrest, my parents lost all their trust in me and I was expelled from high school. I was told never to come back. At that time, I felt afraid and hopeless. That’s when I started looking for God, and I prayed that he would reveal himself in my life and that he would give me signs. My prayers began getting answered so consistently that I couldn’t deny that God was doing something. It was mysterious and compelling. I ended up in Church and started reading the bible hours a day. I stopped hanging out with all my other friends because they were continually getting arrested. I was able to forgive my family and myself and to ask to be forgiven. I noticed how at Church people were judgmental and how they formed cliques but were afraid to be around anyone else different from them. It increased my faith because I realized Jesus was not like that and ever since I was young, I saw people as people regardless of who they were. After a while, it’s like I could see God's presence was in my life and then it felt like he wasn’t, and then he was, and then he wasn’t. One day I woke up and felt more depressed than I ever have in my entire life. I felt like I was dying on the inside. That night I prayed, and I said, God, I don’t see my life five years from now I'm going to die Jesus save me Lord, please save me. I was weeping when I said it and when I asked him to save me, I felt a presence inside of me like a heartbeat, and I felt it once like a pulse, and I said Lord please save me and I felt it again even stronger. It was like radiance. When I woke up the next morning, I had transformed everything felt brand new like I was a kid again. All my fears and all my racing thoughts everything was gone. I looked at my hands, and I said this can’t be real it’s impossible. When I looked at myself in the mirror, I saw a different person. I started praying, and the holy spirit became entirely real to me it was washing over me and inside of me. It was total love and peace, and I heard a voice but not an audible one, it was an inner voice. It said I am with you; I love you, I will never leave you, it’s done it’s finished. That was May 3rd, 2009, and ever since then I’ve followed God, I have seen many things change and many things I know wouldn’t have changed without faith and belief. I know what it’s like to be lost to feel you have no hope. Don’t ever think you’re stuck, or life can’t change because it can. My mom is a Christian now, Its night and day. Some of the things that went away during that period were severe anxiety and my addiction to alcohol. I’ve seen and experienced so many things that are miraculous and seen how God has worked in my life. When we ask God to forgive us for what we’ve done and turn away from our sins and wrongdoings and we believe in Christ's sacrifice everything changes. His word says if we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that he died and rose again we will have eternal life but not just life after death but abundant life in the present. Our sins are erased not only past, present, and future but our burdens and fears are lifted also. Our thoughts, our minds, our hearts, our souls are transformed and united with God and we know his spirit lives in us. If you seek, pray, and knock you will know JESUS IS KING!!! HE LIVES!

Churches were once a work of art, where Artists and Architects worked side by side creating masterpieces within their walls, that were years, often Decades in the making and were a labor of love, with much devotion and passion for the Church, and sadly most of it is all gone, we should be trying to preserve what we have left before it's all gone, because once it's all gone, it's too late, we can never get it back
This is taking away our History, our Heritage, which is something we usually fight to protect and preserve, yet we don't seem to be doing that. We don't give that same level of care in the Heritage of our Churches, we allow them to be demolished, and guttered, and for the old historic interiors we allow to be pulled down and they are often smashed to bits in the process.
Seeing these things going on makes me so sad to see and it has been going on for far too long now that it's about time somebody stepped in to do something about it, before we lose every trace of our history of the Roman Catholic Church that we have left, and which goes all the way back to the Early Church and the Church Fathers.
How many Catholics today even know who the Church Fathers were, or anything about them or who they were? Then we also had the Doctors of the Church, and all of them, the Church Fathers, and the Doctors of the Church were all Catholic Saints, who were approved and made as Saints by the Church. We rarely hear people speak of the Saint's, and when they do it often has come about in their time of need, when they in desperation, and with nowhere else to turn, than to their faith, turn to the Intercessory Prayers to the Saints.
Sadly many do not have enough faith in them, so they do not turn to Prayer and Intercession of the Saint's from the beginning, as the truly faithful would do along with every other avenue to take in the Process, and would place all of their trust and faith in Jesus, to see them through, but rather for many it's merely a last resort, when all else has failed, and all that is left for them to do is Pray and to try to regain some of that faith they should have had from the very start.
True faith is the key to everything, this is something that I have learned, people often will say things like: " I prayed to God, but he did not answer my Prayer." What such people fail to realize is that God Knows what's in our Hearts, he knows if we truly have faith or not, or when our faith is not strong and is not wavering, and in such cases they should rather than blame God, and fall further into disbelief, they should examine their own conscience, and think about their lack of faith, as rather being the cause and not God. We have free will and unless we faithfully turn to him, in good faith, he cannot fully come to our aide and help us.
Those with faith and who have total trust in God, will know exactly what I mean here, for they will have found that time and time again their Prayers are answered, and we find ourselves helped spiritually in many ways by Divine interventions in our lives, but we are not special, we simply have faith, true unwavering faith in God, and it truly is the Key, that can unlock many doors, in our lives, which may have been closed to us, we find ourselves being guided in ways, we may have never thought possible, and even our most basic Prayers we find are answered.
However we also need to ask for the right things when we Pray, and to be aware of this, for if we ask for thing's such as those which are out of Vengeance, or to wish ill fortune on another, to pray against someone, or to ask for material wants and gains, for these are not what Jesus meant when he said: " Ask and it is given, " ( Matthew 7: 7 ).
I hope this helps many people, as it is something that is often on my heart, and a message that I feel very strongly that I need to spread.
God Bless.

This clears up some of the confused rhetoric I have heard and experienced; to my shame, I even espoused some of it for a short time. Lately, Catholicism has started to appeal to my conscience and nature as I've grown older. I like church, always have, but my Protestant upbringing, which was not real strong, left me feeling empty; like I was an outsider, under scrutiny, fearing the judgement of others who were no better than I. I attended Mass a few Sundays, but left off as my father grew sicker. Heading back, hopefully this Sunday. Pray for me. I still have some problems. And thanks in advance. Soli Deo Gloria.

As a Muslim. I never thought getting to know more about this was so interesting! For a while I literally thought Catholics are just Christians that are more religious, guess not 🤷🏻‍♀️

As a Catholic, I really appreciate how well you researched this, and how respectful and unbiased you are. I have started watching your other videos on different religions and appreciate it in those as well! When you are trying to learn about another religion, it’s super easy to find videos that mock and misunderstand it, so it’s nice to have someone who does research.

I love my religion. And I will forever live my life as a Roman Catholic 🥰☺️😊❤️❤️❤️✝️✝️✝️

Edit: I think what matters here is that as long as I accept Jesus as my only Lord and Savior in my life, then there’s nothing wrong in being a catholic or a protestant or an orthodox. For Jesus did said that our nieghbors might not be what we expect them to be, which means that our neighbors will be of those who have different beliefs or mindsets to us. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Edit 2: I have seen a few comments within my comment, and this is what I have to say to all of them. Why must you show hate towards my faith In Jesus, despite some of you have faith in Him also? Didn’t Jesus tell to us to not judge anyone with harshfulness, for the one who judges his neighbor also sinned? Please if you were to judge me, then atleast judge me with righteousness, not death threats, not with hate, and not with anger. I am a Catholic, and I will forever have faith in Jesus. There nothing wrong with my faith! I came to this video just to show my love towards Jesus, while some of y’all show me hatred into my heart. Forgive me if I have offended some of you for my comment, but I will not be ashamed of my eternal love to Jesus.

There were a few things in this video that aren't quite right (like how you said the Pope is the ruler of the Catholic Church. He isn't. Jesus is the ruler of the Catholic Church. The Pope is more like a prime minister), but overall this video was pretty accurate! Seems like you really put a lot of effort into researching the Church. Thank you for portraying our Church accurately instead of all the bias and lies that are portrayed in other similar videos.

Fellow Catholics. Please stay true to this wonderful religion. I know! I was disabled for a long time and in a Catholic Hospital. They showed me so much compassion, and I met great people with shining personalities. Don't let the lunatics who do nothing for anyone discourage you. You're doing Jesus' work. I love you all!
