I think it is also important to show how to possible avoid such cases of overexposing the footage. External monitor might be quite an important thing which will come handy for that. Of course, we shouldn't forget about ND filters too. :)

'Some very valuable tips. Thank you! I especially liked the technique of creating haze around a blown out practical. That's one that I'm definitely going to employ. But all of the other tips must be in a colorist's arsenal. Great video!
