Sear my flesh and bone | Holli & Lina 13+ [MEP part]

Hey dudes, dudettes and dudles!
My part for legogirl8's upcoming femslash MEP featuring the song "Hellfire" covered by Elsie Lovelock!
I've actually been playing around with the idea of a full fledged video with this song some time before legogirl8 uploaded this MEP, but TWIST I was gonna do it with Lina as the singer ;D If you follow me on tumblr, you'll know that an anon asked me who I'd cast in a potential video with them and this song and I reached the conclusion that I wanted to use Lina as the villainess because it seemed more original, but also because Holli is more of a "temptress" than she is. With that being said, I'm so happy I was able to try it out this way as well cause, let's face it, you can't have enough Hollina! xD
I purposely created this video in a way so you can interpret in THREE different ways!
- Literal: Everything that happens is literal. Holli is actually haunted by this very attractive ghost who kicks her into the fire at the end.
- Imaginary: Holli's desire for Lina slowly pushes her into madness and she starts imagining that Lina is next to her, teasing her and kicking her into the fire.
Symbolic: Holli ending up in the fire is symbolic for her giving into the temptation rather than her actually dying. So, you could imagine that later on she'd pursue Lina whether she wants it or not ;)
EDIT: I just realized this is my tenth Hollina video! Hallelujah! XD

Yeah, okay, there's nothing about this video that isn't incredible.

I'm so glad you chose Holli as the singer, because it gives more depth to her character and adds into the history and persona you've created for her. For character purposes, I choose to see this video as symbolic and absolutely canon to their relationship. This is Holli wrestling with her feelings and second-guessing whether or not she can even trust Lina. You've established Holli as someone closed off and haunted by her past, so this is the natural result of falling too hard too fast for someone and not knowing how to deal with it or what to do about it.

Holli fits so well with the ghosts as she's literally struggling with the ghosts of her past and the phantom of Lina as she tries to reconcile what she knows from experience with what her heart wants. Can Lina be trusted with her heart? She doesn't know and she's desperate to protect herself from the pain of betrayal. Lina's presence here, regardless of her actual character, is toying with her: flirting on the edges of her heartbeat and teasing at what might be if Holli just lets go.

But Holli is so determined not to fall that she fights back and tries to resist her feelings.

Lina's diabolic expression fits perfectly with this, because it's not really Lina it's what Holli imagines Lina could be, and it's the reality that Holli's feelings are so much deeper than even she realized. It's Lina's presence pushing her into the fire because Holli isn't strong enough to fight this powerful love she feels. It's Holli wavering, falling, and succumbing to everything her heart and body have been screaming for, for weeks maybe months.

And still there's the thought that this might destroy her, but it's so overwhelmed by the force of her passion that all Holli can do is surrender to the flames.

Basically, this video is a symbolic masterpiece and I am honored to have seen it.

As i was watching it I thought of Thumbelina as the singer too being tempted.
Tho this is how i view the video. Lina is in fact a temping demon in a cute disguise and Hollie sees right through it. but Hollie is no saint herself (shes more like in the movie version and is more use to being the one pulling the strings and the temptress) and is only somewhat trying not to fall for lina knowing she is not all cute and bubbly (hollie: "Thumbelina is the one that should be chasing me darn it!" *pouts*), but in the end her subconscious (aka in the form of lina or is it really demon lina) is like "get over it girl!!" and kicks her butt in the fire. Thus Hollie falls right into the cute bubbly demons hands and in love with Lina and she enjoys it.
