It's said in this commentary that when Prince William found out that the Markles were going to do a walkabout on their own he merely offered to join them but this wasn't the case at all. The Markles were sneakily trying to do the walkabout on their own in order to get some attention on themselves but when Prince William found out about it he was furious and insisted on joining them to take the wind out of their sails. There's always a hidden agenda behind everything the Markles do and it's always about them. So they were even trying to use the Queen's death to divert attention to themselves. Despicable.

Feel so sorry for William at that time. He had these two troublemakers to keep in order, to prevent them from causing further harm or embarrassment while at the same time he would've been protecting his grieving father from whatever mischief they had up their sleeves.
Must have been a testing time for him. He handled it admirably, the outcome was dignified and respectful. The two miscreants were kept under control and nothing went wrong.
