I have a festering wound next to my toenail. I drain the wound when I clean it and I cut my toenail just in case because it started to swell but it wasn't the nail that caused this wound. It just appeared after I cut the tip of the toenail to make it shorter, you know, for hygiene purposes. My toes are kind of meaty, so I'm not sure entirely what to do. The wound is located on my left foot on the right side of my big toe between the meat and the nail.

I've used hydrogen to remove all possible bacteria, then iodine to disinfect the wound and kept a bandage during the night. I've put Hydrocyclin the next day...

Any advice please? I'd like to settle this on my own without going to the doctor. Only as a last resort, I'd go see a surgeon.

I have the third one, cause my mom used to cut my nail off, I even cried as a child and she didn’t care 😢, I still get ingrow nail treatment and it doesn’t get easier or less painful 😢😢😢
