Help me make more cheesy content:

The battle between calories and intermittent fasting continues! A new study once again pits the two popular weight loss diet strategies against each other, but this time with a small twist. Can you lose as much weight as counting calories if you intermittently fast... while not counting a single calorie the whole time AND also not even trying to lose weight in the first place? If so, it may very well give fasting the upper hand this round and help maintain its long-running popularity within the fitness world.

lost 45lbs in three months with both and 10k steps a day. Honestly the biggest challenge is overcoming the mental barriers

trying to manage my weight was a struggle. this video comparing calorie counting and intermittent fasting caught my eye. Aspect Health, where i sought guidance, focused on personalized approaches. the study shows both methods result in similar weight loss. it's intriguing how the fasting group, without calorie counting, achieved comparable results. this might be a simpler alternative for weight loss, especially for those dealing with obesity. it's interesting to consider intermittent fasting as an addition to a weight loss strategy.

When I'm on a calorie deficit I am hungry all day. When I fasting I am hungry only during evening and wake up energetically to finally get some food.

I do IF along with a slight deficit. The deficit makes sure I lose weight, but the IF makes sure I adhere to my plan. Without IF I would be failing my diet all the time. Weight's been coming off like crazy

IF helped me heal my overeating problem... now that i have a specific time to only eat, it helped me discipline myself not to have food on demand instead eat when i need to.

as long as you maintain a consistent routine of calorie consumption compared to your maintenance calories, you’ll get to your goal.

The thing is, IF isn't just good for losing weight, it's for overall health.

Ooh, do weight gain. I thought skipping breakfast led to weight gain in some study. It did for me but my eating patterns are pretty irregular now by trying all kinds of things.

Thank you for your informative videos. Really entertaining as well. What are your thoughts regarding greasing the grove? I really find it difficult to stick to a specific workout schedule because of my Job.

For me, IF has been far more successful than counting calories. When I get into "eating mode" I'll stack my plate high and clean it- I have a hard time stopping if I don't feel full. When I IF, I only go into eating mode once or twice a day, and I've found it to be far easier to NOT START eating then stopping myself in the middle. Combine that with lots of protein and avoiding desserts, it's the only strategy I've been able to maintain and see results.

IF is not a magic bullet. It's calorie restriction, obfuscated. It's the execution that makes it unique, imo.

this sseems like the easiest pairings you could just say I'll do both

Having Active Awareness of my Fullness that should be 80% Full and Fasting actually works for me longterm.

The Fullness Awareness was the gardest part of it.

Actually, we don't eat calories or use calories as energy. Calories refer to heat energy generated from burning stuff and it's measured by a calorimeter - the human body does not burn food and we are not calorimeters. Not only that, but most of the protein we eat is not used as energy. So, even if you '' count calories '', it's extremely inaccurate even if it were a good way of predicting weight gain or weight loss. Also, one thing that is known to greatly influence fat loss or fat gain is insulin. If you tend to have high amounts of insulin everyday, it's going to be easy to gain weight and hard to lose weight. Glucose affects insulin much more than fat, which is why people generally do well on a diet with relatively low amounts of carbs. The other benefit of eating low amounts of carbs and more fat is not feeling hungry every 2-3 hours.

As a general rule, if you eat less (and '' eat less calories '' as you call it), yes, you're more likely to lose weight, but it's not guaranteed. Especially if you eat lots of carbs and even worse : lots of carbs mixed with lots of fat.

A calorie is not a calorie
And more importantly it is how a particular food affects the fat storing hormone insulin.
Once fuel or fat has been stored the body will not use stored fat it goes for the immediate fuel source and leaves the stored fat for when there is no food,
But that never happens.
Lose fat :
fast 16 hours do not eat cakes cookies or candies, soft drinks or donuts pizza tortillas etc. eat Whole Foods like eggs, vegetables
Meats, chicken, fish cheese, nuts
and berries. Once the weight comes off eat potatoes and rice on occasion. Cakes once a year?
