Eat for $10 a Week From Dollar Tree | No Freezer Section - Shelf Foods Only

Hey friends! A comment I saw a bit of in my original "how to eat for $10 at the Dollar Tree" video was that a lot of y'all don't have cold sections at your local Dollar Tree. So I decided to do another $10 Dollar Tree video, and this time I use only the shelf stable, non refrigerated items.
This video is a demonstration in how to grocery shop and meal plan on an extremely limited budget and with access to only a non traditional grocery store. If you are struggling to feed yourself or your family, please reach out to the resources around you for assistance.
Whether you are looking for frugal meal ideas, how to use Dollar Tree ingredients, or just want to watch an extreme budget grocery challenge, I hope this video gives you something useful or entertaining =)

I love how relatable and professional she is. She balances teaching without being condescending and makes everything look pretty achievable for anyone. This is content that needs to make money on YouTube 🙂

I go backpacking on the Appalachian Trail, and many times, the only resupply in small towns is a Dollar Store. If you get the "Just Add Water" Pancake Mix, and use a 50/50 combination of Flour & Pancake Mix, some Salt, and enough water to form a thick batter, you can make skillet biscuits.

I love these cheap dinners! Walmart has a 1 lb. tube of frozen ground turkey (less than $2) - comes in Italian, Taco, & Plain flavors. Its really good too. I also buy their beef liver (less than $3). Maybe cheap Walmart dinners now & again would be interesting too? BTW, your soothing voice, coupled with a relaxed friendly demeanor & intelligent speaking makes your videos a joy to watch.😀👍👍

I lived on black beans and rice with salsa during a rough patch in 2014 and it was so filling and delicious. Once in a while I threw in little addition of vegetable or wieners as I could afford. Watching your videos is a trip down memory lane and a reminder that somehow we can always manage.🍀

In Korea, there’s a soup called Sujebi - which translates to dough flake or hand torn noodles. The dough is so simple to make with only flour, salt, water, and a little oil. You could easily make a dough like your flatbread dough and pull apart into noodles and cook straight in broth and veggies from the Dollar Tree. Simple yet comforting and hearty!

(look up maangchi’s recipe on YouTube)

I love your channel I have been broke enough that I had to grocery shop for like a year at the dollar tree.

I host a frugal Facebook group and suggested this video to my group. I told them even if they hesitate to purchase food items from Dollar Tree or feel a $10.00 menu plan is not for them, videos such as yours can spark ideas and information that can help them reduce their food costs, inspire new, and varied meals
So thank you for posting this.
Lastly, when I have fresh fruit that is close to spoiling I cut it up into small pieces without sugar and just a tiny bit of water so it doesn't burn and then put it in the microwave one to two minutes to soften it stir and enjoy in Oatmeal, on Toast, Crackers this version of a Fruit Spread is the same as yours and is delicious, inexpensive, and healthy

This girl is amazing. Even though I wouldn't be a fan of every single dish, the thought and the prep, plus the info she shares, wow. What a gifted creator. So glad I found this.

Oh my goodness you had plenty of variety. I'm thinking if trying this challenge myself. My problem is that I have to have a lot of protein in my diet. The beans are definitely a good choice for that. The beans are a mainstay of my diet now. I had the Gastric Bypass a year ago and I'm down 127 pounds.

I’m so happy you make these videos. Although I’m pretty well off now, I grew up scraping change together to go to the dollar store. Food insecurity/accessibility is such an issue for so many, and these videos can really help people meet their needs. Please keep making them—so many people find them crucial!! Also, reducing the peaches sounds so good—going to try it with my oatmeal!!

My dollar tree doesn't have a frozen section, but the ones in the town where I work do. I went this week and the freezer section of the one I visited was 2/3 empty. So this was very good timing in case the freezer sections are sparse. And you know we LOVE bonus kitty footage 😍

Hi! You inspired me to make ravioli with your last video. It was delicious and my children gobbled them down! Thank you for these “frugal” menu videos. I get a lot of good ideas from them.

These are honestly great videos for people who live in food deserts. You had a decently balanced meal everyday, with almost the 2k recommended calories daily. Thanks for these!

I really enjoy watching your videos. You are so creative in your cooking. You're helping so many people, people who don't know what to buy or how to use the items that they have purchased. God bless you😌😌

Maybe apple pie filling would be a good alternative for the oatmeal since it has the cinnamon and sugar in it.
