How to self-study Japanese stress-free ✨| N5 to N3 📖

The video was, in fact, NOT divided into five sections but seven because I just kept rambling on.
It's been a while since I last did a video about studying Japanese. I was talking to a few friends about how stressful studying can be and how we all thought it's important to figure out WHY we are studying the language in order to navigate it properly, so this video is the result of that conversation. I hope you'll find it at least a bit helpful.

"'Students?'
‘Er. Yes?’ said Ponder, backing away.  ‘That’s all right, isn’t it? I mean, this is a university…’
Ridcully scratched his ear.  The man was right of course.  You had to have some of the buggers around, there was no getting away from it.  Personally, he avoided them whenever possible, as did the rest of the faculty, occasionally running the other way or hiding behind doors whenever they saw them.  The Lecturer in Recent Runes had been known to lock himself in his wardrobe rather than take a tutorial."

Hi Marta san ^^ I'm using MochiKanji too and it's my go-to app for kanji practice. The Golden Time reminders keep me consistent, and I’ve finally started retaining kanji long-term!. I think MochiKanji will be appropriate for those who mastered Hiragana and want to learn Japanese vocabulary effectively. Highly recommend!

One of my favourite things about MochiKanji is the example sentences. They make learning kanji in context so much easier!

Such a great video ☺I also studied Japanese for about 7 years too, at university and through self studying. I constantly feel a pressure to be more ahead than I actually am and this has only caused me to be demotivated. Ty for talking about this and helping me to feel better about it 💕

Wow using mochi too, I've really enjoyed this app😍. It's been really helpful with spaced repetition and remembering materials for the N4. I've used it everyday for close to 3 months. The design is adorable and I really do like the way it's all laid out.

The variety of courses in MochiKanji is fantastic. I’m working on the Genki vocab course, and it’s been so helpful.

I once bought a sushi book in Japan. It had English on the left and Japanese on the right. I'm super interested in the art of sushi. It was so cool. I learned the types of fish the cuts and the preparation methods in Japanese. Unfortunately I have since lost the book. But I highly recommend books with your language on the left and Japanese on the right in a topic you love.

I’m 76…been studying Japanese for 16 months… tried many apps and texts…what’s working for me now is using Tobira Beginning Japanese with an Italki tutor…I’ve tried Genki and the other books you showed… For me, Tobira works….Does Mochi Kanji cover Tobira Beginning Japanese vocabulary? I use Quizlet because it has Tobira Beginning Japanese vocabulary flashcards, etc….I don’t think it uses spaced repetition, though. Vocabulary is challenging…I really like your video….thanks, best John
