A couple of months ago I bought a new laptop that I wanted to keep secure boot on. I didn't get rid of windows right away like I normally do and actually liked windows 11 so I decided to keep it and duel boot with linux. I didn't want to shrink the windows drive so I purchased a second one to use for Linux. I had tried the few distros that allow secure boot including Linux Mint and decided on something else. When the beta for mint 21 came out, I looked at it again and was impressed enough by it to switch to it when the official version came out. I have been using Linux for 25 years now and use to distro hop like crazy. I came to realize that in the past couple of years I stuck with one distro on my main machine and hopped on others. I have always kept Mint on one laptop just because I knew it was stable and if I had to, I could boot it up and it just worked. I am now at an age that I don't want any surprises and just want my computer to do the few things that I have to do. Linux Mint 21 has surprised me as to how nice it looks and runs. I use a Bluetooth mouse and it gives me no isuues. I had wifi issues on the other distro I was using on this machine but none in Mint. People say this is a beginner distro and it is nice to start linux off with but it is also a distro that anyone can use long term. Linux Mint is just getting better and should be one that people should try.
