I have been using Mint for over 10 years now. Yesterday my computer died and I had to get a new one with Windows 10. Everything from booting the computer up, the windows interface, the slow performance, the need to make an account, was just horrible. I don't know how people put up with Windows. The 3 minutes I spent on it was enough for me. Linux for life.

It's so great to see how community-based projects like this directly and indirectly impact sustainability! I've been using this on my MBP 2011 (I love that thing and it got me through elementary/middle/high school, and part of college so I hold onto it for memory's sake) and it works flawlessly. I have bluetooth and wifi adapters to replace the Broadcom wifi chipset and combined with TimeShift, stickies, and just the shear reliability of Mint 21, I feel like I could even daily drive the computer today! Goes to show how "obsolete" equipment really can stick around for years past their support period :D

I am pretty sure cinnamon has had the context menu in its menu for a long time now. I remember it being there when I first used mint back in 2018.

I installed Cinammon and found it absolutely gorgeous. However, when I transferred a large number of files the window manager (Nemo) became so slow and unresponsive it was painful. I went back to Mate. It's not as beautiful or full of awesome features as Cinammon, but Mate seems to perform better and not get in the way.

Not having a proper Bluetooth connection was a headache for me before, other than that Linux mint is an amazing distro that comes out of the box with all the essential tweaks...

Mine bluetooth and wifi not working simultaneously. Whenever i connect Bluetooth earbuds my wifi disconnect and never connect until i disconnect bluetooth earbuds 🥲🥲 . If you know any solution please help

What I don't get about Linux Mint is why the wallpaper settings can't do multi-monitor spanning correctly. Anytime I have tried to span one of their wallpaper images between my two monitors, it always resizes it to the dimensions of a single monitor, the straddles it in the middle between the two monitors with black background on the right and left. It's never worked like you would expect it, like it does when using that feature in GNOME Tweaks.

I tried several times to upgrade my Linux Mint 20.2 to Vanessa, and every time?..its failed. After the upgrade I get a black screen and I'm told that Linux mint is missing some component and that it will use a fallback mode, which doesn't load anything I previously had. In short once I upgraded?...i can't revert back to my former desktop with all my I will just go back to Fedora and live in Gnome-land where updates and upgrades don't do irreversible damage. LoL!
