How Spring Joint Tension Releases

In this video I visit my buddy Nick Pancheau to help him make a cutout in the center of a conference table that is assembled with spring joints.

Since we had to make this cut in the table, we use it as an opportunity to share with you, how the tension releases when you cut into the middle of a panel that is glued up with spring joints.

We did not think it would move much, but we were concerned the movement might be enough to pinch the blade.
